No clue how this is going to go. Teams that lose in the playoffs usually have a bit of a hangover, however we've made some good steady signings, but lost 2 of our back four from last season. Lowe won't play whether he's still here or not.

I'm hoping/expecting a 2-1 win, Curtis and Harrison to score. Shrews look like they have a decent back line so won't be loads of goals in this game, but I think our overall quality and our counter attacking setup for away games should see us over the line Saturday.

Impressed by Pompey's summer signings. Marquis coming in before our game in 48 hours time isn't ideal but we kept him out both times we played Doncaster last season so hopefully we can again.

I'm confident going into the season, very happy with our business so far. Our defence looks strong but work still to be done on the midfield.

Well played Salop. I didn't go but sounds like a bit of inspiration did for us.

Didn't have much time for Marquis to bed in so hopefully this is just a blip for us. Had plenty of possession but didn't create a lot.

Wonder strike settled it. This is the most impressive defence in many many seasons but unless we sign a creative midfielder and another forward we will struggle to score. Pompey will do well this season. Encouraging start but much work to be done.

Well that didn't turn out the way I'd hoped. Typical Pompey though. Such a long way to go and lose. A fantastic shot but other than that Shrews didn't do much.
