Well now that Durrell's back and Cameron has tightened up the defence you can see why our form has picked up so much (plus the opposition have been poor but let's brush over that). Port Vale next and no reason why we can't win this either. Realistically we need to win as many games in December as possible because this easy-ish run of games won't last forever.

Tricky one, as is typical a team getting panned every week always seems to pick up in the weeks before we play them.

Hard to call this, the formation is über negative on paper and fans are not happy with it but we’ve been on our best scoring run since the promotion season with 11 goals in just 4 games and are picking up results which is positive even when not playing great.

Away form in decent for the first time in a few seasons with two defeats on the road since August.

Pope two goals from the 100, Monty with 5 goals in 4 games has been a boost.

Hopefully we can win but these are the type of games Vale tend to balls up. Hopefully they rise to the sell out away following.

Sneaky 2-1 Monty and Pope.

Its the sort of game we normally mess up, but despite Macc's improved form, I think we might sneak this 1-2 with Pope and Hannant on the scoresheet.

Looking at their holding midfielders hopefully we can take advantage with the pace and power of Manny and the pace of Monty and Hannant. Arguably our strongest area.

Be tough though but I’d be disappointed if we lose this one with our general form.

Campbell's "confidence" is definitely rubbing off on the fans; there's people going into games expecting to win, and talking about a top half finish. Madness!

Title winners next season and Arsenal will pay us a seven figure sum for Campbell.

Macclesfield been dominant, just feels like a matter of time before they get one and we’ve all seen once that happens you can rule out a Vale win.

Poor first half, Vassell having a mare, Pope should of scored but slipped as he was about to turn and fire home but Brown with a stunning save.

Aspin persisting with this line up inviting opponents onto us is grating. Whitfield here would be a good option.

Vassell off and Gibbons on please!

On the face of it a point away from home isn’t too bad but can’t help thinking if we weren’t so negative at the start this game could have been won. Good luck to Macc anyway.

Scrappy game, 0-0 probably a fair result. I can only remember one clear chance all game. Boxing day is absolutely massive now.

Fair result we had the second half and could of had a penalty with the handball but had we won it would have been harsh on Macc.

Both defensive units battled well. Decent point, far better off than last year and two home games to come.

Quigley looked decent when he came on.

Truly horrific away from home negative shit.
Think we had one shot from Quigley.
Both sides would still be playing on Wednesday and it'd be 0-0 still.

Sick to the back teeth of this utter shit being served up.
This is 100% genuine, I'd of preferred to of lost 3-2 and given it a real go
That was dog turd and we haven't really improved one iota from last season

Defensively we are far better than last season. Attacking wise we are not. Can’t keep being this negative, yes we’ve become hard to beat but need to be winning games against a lower table clubs.

Get to 50 points ASAP and be done with the season to be honest. Take the progress and hope the attack is sorted.

Worth surely Miller and Worrall getting in the squad at least!

Either Miller Worrall and Whitfield have all tried it on with Aspins daughter or he just hates players who aren't robotic.

No reasonable explanation at their continued omission

We may be picking up more points, and conceding less goals than last season, but its not entertaining football. Change is required.

Be careful what you wish for lads! We (allegedly) changed our ‘style’ from last season because the owner wanted us to be more entertaining...

Game that could've gone either way right to the end. The Stephens/Marsh double save was definitely the best chance but Vale were better 2nd half.

Injuries to Durrell and Whitaker very worrying and sets us back half way to when we were absolutely rubbish. 4-6 weeks for Durrell couldnt come at a worse time (Tranmere will be happy!), and i fear it'll be longer than that if he's having surgery.

January recruitment becomes more vital without Durrell. Napa or Arthur just aren't good enough to fill the gap.

For all the doom and gloom from Silkmen on here, granted we set up negatively as the recent set up for Aspin but Macc Town looked far more solid than Yeovil, Notts County and Cambridge did against us with Cameron an absolute beast. As of yesterday Tom Pope had won 49 more aerial duals than any other striker in the division and he barely got a sniff out of Cameron.

Got to say this but Sol might just keep you up. Win for you against County and you’d surely have a 50-50 chance from being dead and buried.

Only thing you lacked was finishing as you had two or three great chances first half that had they fell to Pope the other way round for example would of been in the net. Get that sorted you’ll be fine.
