Sit On Every Seat Challenge

Hi all,

Just popped over from the non-league forum to see if anyone can help with this. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008 and since coming out of hospital I have been raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity through various different events and since then have helped to raise almost £15,000. I did have a number of complcations with my first op and had to have a further 6 operations, the last one being in November 2011 but hopefully all seems to be ok now, barring me missing part of my skull for the rest of my life.

I am always wary of asking the same people for money each time I do anything but as I haven't done anything since October 2013 I thought it was about time to do something again.

I have come up with the idea of sitting on every seat at my clubs (Grimsby Town) ground, approx 9000 seats.
I know that Alan Shearer and Robbie Savage did this at Wembley not too long ago.

I'm not really sure how long it would take me to do this and I may pop down to the club to see if they'll let me sit on say 100 seats and time it and they we could get a rough idea how long it would take. Has anyone done anything similar to this, or knows someone who has though and could give me some sort of clue.

I'm looking to do this towards the end of the season, that's as long as the club are ok with this. I know someone who works at the club so will ask him at the weekend to see if this is a goer or not.

Glad all seems to be okay for you now.

A similar thing was done at Posh, we had around 9000 seats at the time. Took 9 people around four hours I believe. Good luck with it. Set up a justgiving page or something and i'll donate

Thanks for that. Took 9 of them 4 hours!! I was hoping to do it on my own but I may have to draft a mate or 2 in to help.

The other alternative is to maybe do it over a weekend doing 3 or 4 hours twice a day with a break inbetween.
