Already buzzing for this one! Hopefully we go and attack from the start as it worked very well against MK Dons, and I hope the team remains the same and after all of the draws we seem to have hit a good balance between defence and attack. Think we'll win 2-1, and 32 undefeated.

Up the Teyn.

Agree with all of that. Im going for a 2-1 win as well. We seem much more balanced with the 4-2-3-1. Shame for John-Joe to miss out but at least the bench is looking strong. Some good players from last year cannot even get in the 18. Only concern is if Revell gets injured, he would be a massive miss.

Will be my first time to Chesterfield, any good boozer recommendations?

Einsteins, York House, Market Place or White Swan in town centre.

White Swan will just be on your left coming into town from the station (by church) Einsteins to the right also before the church. If you're here early doors then York House, Spa Lane (spoons) or Burlington are all open up early though to kill time.

Down by the ground we always have one in Beer Parlour just passed the ground which allows away fans in. Other away fans pubs are Red Lion right at the top of the road passed the ground or Derby Tup, both aren't bad either. Plenty of choice for a good drink, literally the only reason i'm out Saturday, having not been to a home game yet this season I doubt i'll bother this Sat either.

A perfectly good route to the ground from town could take you past the Chesterfield Arms and the Neptune too.

Surely 1000+ coming up for this?

Would be disappointed if it was less than that, imagine it will be around the 1K mark. Its not a hard journey or very far at all, add the fact we havnt lost in what feels like forever I would expect a decent turnout!

Midweek admittedly but we once got back from Northampton in 59 minutes. The speed limit may have been breached.

Good win. I didn't go, but it's good to continue what seems like a decent record against today's opponents and for us to get back on track in the league.

Strange game in some ways. Neither keeper had anything to do. I assumed the Cobblers would be quite good given their run but they were a bit shit.

We are not going to get many points on the road this season. Think our home form will determine how well we do. Shame the unbeaten run is over, but to be fair it's been remarkable how long it's gone on for and I don't think any of us Cobblers fans thought we would witness such a run. So well done Chesterfield on your victory. Now let's do one over Man United on Wednesday.

I didn't even realise Northampton had Man Utd midweek. They probably had one eye on that to be fair. Still, I'll absolutely take that result. We've looked awful the last few games

31 and out. Shame we lost it like that but what a run, and the fans rightly paid tribute to that at the end of the game

Forgot to say, what a terrible ref we had the pleasure of having yesterday. Some of his decisions were genuinely laughable. Favourite moment was when two of our players collided and he gave Chesterfield a free kick.!Shame we couldn't convert one of our chances as I don't think it was a 3-1 game, and the stats actually show we had the best of the game.

Not the best game in all honesty but after a few poor results it was important to pick up the points. Wilkinson did very well, took his first goal well and got lucky for his second. Fulton deserves a mention as well, he's been poor for us so far i reckon but he was good yesterday, probably didn't have too many out-right saves to make but every time the ball was put in the box he came out and claimed it/punched it clear confidently.

Nice to end their unbeaten run, we're usually the side the that other teams beat after not winning for 31 games.

Can stats show that? It was a fairly even game but I thought we were slightly better all over the park.

Chesterfield scored more than us, I feel like I dont know what happens now after so long undefeated in the league.

We were terrible and didnt feel like we deserved anything really. Once the third goal went in that killed off any chances of a comeback. A season of midtable mediocrity beckons for us I think. Was very impressed by the young winger (no28 I think?) who was a handful all game. We just never got any sort of passing game going. Doubt I will ever see 31 undefeated again in my lifetime, great ending by the fans.

On a side note I cant help but feel that if we had kept Ricky Holmes this season could have been so different, I have no doubt he could still tear it up for us at this level.

The real question though is did Eric Sabin go back to the pub after the game?

Lets go and smash Utd and all their plastic fans now.

Thought we were good value for the points and it was fairly comfortable in terms of they didnt really have any chances or period of havign us under the cosh. Much needed too after the last few results - will probably go and lose at Bury now!

I certainly found time for a few more before heading home, also had a few for the train as well. Then got picked up from the station and went straight to the pub after that.
