What an appointment, loveable bloke and he'll get that squad playing.

It's a real shame we didn't back him with the £30m we've backed our current manager with as we'd be in a much better position I'd bet.

Should add that Karanka turned Brum down before they turned to SC.

Absolutely diabolical appointment.

League 1 or 2 manager all day long.

Can’t pretend I’m not a little bit ‘meh’ about the appointment, on the one hand I’m relived it isn’t some of the names that were being banded around McLaren, Pardew, Poyet etc but on the other I always had Cotterill down as a lower league manager who ran a tight ship on a budget.

Having Cars as his right hand man is a big plus for me, some kind of marriage between Cotterill’s solid & organised mentality and Carsley’s inclination for a higher pressing attacking mindset would be ideal.

Good luck to the fella, he’ll have my support 100%.

He pissed all over Grayson

...and got sacked because you were shite once promoted, that's some good pissing over a man who managed 2 top half finishes on a much smaller budget.

It was Grayson's team who put the final nail in his coffin via a Greg Cunningham diving header, with you sat in the relegation zone in January.

He's gash at this level, ask Burnley fans.

Look how he's getting on now at Sunderland. I loved Cott's, terrific man manager and will unfortunately do well at Birmingham!

He deserves this chance.

Sunderland are a mess, if Grayson can't succeed there then Cotterill would have no chance.

Birmingham will do absolutely fuck all under him, you can quote me on that in a year's time.

Doubt it, wouldn't be playing the style of football we are now which seems effective.

He didn't really, Grayson had him on strings the 5 times they faced each other (City vs Preston).
Did we actually beat Preston under SC?

At least he wouldn't play Joe fucking Hart.

League one is his level! Appreciate what he did for us but I'd be dissapointed if I was a Bum fan.

His excuses and moaning are tiresome too. I never really took to him.

This is the exact reason why I don't want us to sack Carlos at the moment, there are no decent options out there.

I'm interested to see how this pans out, not the usual sort of job Cotts takes on (in that the club have spent a fuckload of money on top-class talent).
