Broadhall Way a difficult trip at the best of times, only managed 1 point from our previous 3 trips and the hosts looked in reasonable shape in Monday's trip to Burton. Simply have to get something from this one. I'd pack the midfield and hope that the referee, Mr Kettle, is strong enough not to let Westley and cohorts run the game.

No idea why I agreed to go to this game, especially with the ridiculous train situation between here and London this weekend. I missed the Wimbledon game last week so haven't seen this new lad from Everton, sounds like he did alright though so may be pivotal in our chances of survival. The defence continues to struggle so I'd put Danny Holmes back in to the starting 11 with Donacien and Ihiekwe at centre back, maybe even Matt Hill at left back if he came through the reserve game the other day ok.

Could be fairly close if we play our best starting side but suspect Micky Adams won't and it'll finish 2-0 to the home side.

Hahahahahahahahaha have you never had Trevor Kettle, he is quite literally the shittest ref I have ever seen and gets so many key decisions wrong. In fact i'd say he's probably the worst ref you could imagine if you're looking for someone assertive who won't let someone like Westley and a decent crowd dominate him. Loves a yellow card as well, he'll often go mad on these which leads to every team's reporter thinking they're the first one to say 'Trevor Kettle letting things boil over'. Expect to have blatant penalties turned down, clearly onside goals ruled out etc.

Yes, aware of Mr Kettle and his reputation and have obviously have concerns, although previously when he's done Tranmere games things haven't 'boiled over' to borrow the cliche. I doubt he'd be any worse than the spineless Simon Hooper, who in last season's game allowed a Stevenage goal from a quick free kick taken from totally the wrong position (further upfield and more central), while players were on the ground injured.

Andy D'Urso is just as bad as his decisions are ridiculous, at least he's consistant for every team though.

Come on Tranmere. Let's hope the whistling Kettle gives a few dodgy penalties to ya!

He'll always go with the home team unfortunately. We got absolutely robbed of a penalty against Southend a month or so ago.

Can see this being a really tough game, obviously it depends on how other results go, but id be pleased with a point as long as we beat Luton on Monday.

Hopefully Gardner is fit, start him with Green and we have a threat going forward for once. Hopefully our defence can stand up to the Stevenage attack, i'd drop Dugdale and bring in Holmes moving Ihiekwe into the centre.

Ill go for 1-1, Green with our goal, 300 Tranmere fans.

This could be my last game watching Tranmere Rovers as a football league club as I'm off to SE Asia and may well return to find Rovers in the conference.
Obviously it's a big Easter for us and anything less than 3 points in all probability will be disasterous. High stakes, just hope the players can stay 100% focused and not get distracted by that disgraceful human being Westleys tactics. As usual will be expecting Stevenage to be pushing the laws of fair play to the limit and George Green can expect to find himself spending half the game on his arse.

Would have taken a point at the start and definitely after the third minute but it still feels like two lost now. Sloppy defending and sitting back too deep cost us again. Could have been a different story if George Green squared it to Hume for a tap in with two minutes to go.

George Green looks quality but needs to stop trying to do so much, a few times where there were simple passes on but he conceded possession by trying take on his man.

A few positives from today though, the way Luton are playing we might be in a change on Monday.

I was pretty impressed with Tranmere today, Green and Odejayi were a real handful in particular, as the second half wore on we started to press more, not sure if it was a case of Tranmere sitting back, the introduction of Lee and Conlon or a combination of both.

Our performance was incredibly sloppy, we seem to have regressed in recent weeks, despite only being 2 points from the play-offs I can't see us making them as things stand, we just aren't playing well enough. On today's showing I think Tranmere will have enough to stay up.

Sounds like we played quite well, draw seemed a fair result from listening. Need to beat Luton now though.

Stevenage's first goal is the worst set play I've seen Tranmere concede this season and we've had plenty of shockers, nobody got near their lad, complete open goal.
Other than the 2 times Tranmere switched off, it was a good solid all round performance. It wouldn't of been to unjust on Stevenage if Tranmere had come away with all 3 points. If only George Green had put that one in at the end instead of dragging his shot wide.

Looks like you boys have turned the corner. I reckon you'll beat Luton quite comfortably.
