Since the departure of Phil Parkinson to Bolton has turned out to be a massive relief to masses of City fans (bit like the ex-girlfriend who dumped you but you never liked her anyway) we need a new manager.
Personally think it's a big loss as he'd never failed to progress season on season. He was frustrating as hell, stubborn and seemed to have his favourites who he could never drop. However he gave us some amazing memories and despite the popular myth his football wasn't always terrible to watch.
Anyway time to move on, the main issue is there isn't many exciting viable options been touted. Rosler is favourite and I'd be happy but not blown away with excitement. McCall is just a no, everyone would love him to succeed but have painful memories of his previous spell as manager.
Interestingly Lambert has come into the market out of the blue at 10/1. He pulled out at Blackburn the same time the deal was going through and would mean our owners are backing us heavily. However it's more likely some drunk punter just whacked £50 on him and it's brought his odds down
Either way the new owners need to sort something out soon as moral among the fans is generally low and who they appoint will be a signal of their ambition
