Since the departure of Phil Parkinson to Bolton has turned out to be a massive relief to masses of City fans (bit like the ex-girlfriend who dumped you but you never liked her anyway) we need a new manager.

Personally think it's a big loss as he'd never failed to progress season on season. He was frustrating as hell, stubborn and seemed to have his favourites who he could never drop. However he gave us some amazing memories and despite the popular myth his football wasn't always terrible to watch.

Anyway time to move on, the main issue is there isn't many exciting viable options been touted. Rosler is favourite and I'd be happy but not blown away with excitement. McCall is just a no, everyone would love him to succeed but have painful memories of his previous spell as manager.

Interestingly Lambert has come into the market out of the blue at 10/1. He pulled out at Blackburn the same time the deal was going through and would mean our owners are backing us heavily. However it's more likely some drunk punter just whacked £50 on him and it's brought his odds down

Either way the new owners need to sort something out soon as moral among the fans is generally low and who they appoint will be a signal of their ambition

Rosler is an interesting one. Did well with Brentford, did great with Wigan in his first 6 months, but for some reason the bottom dropped out of them in his 2nd season. We can forget what happened with Leeds. If he can work out what went wrong with Wigan, he should be a good appointment. Give him some backing and the rope to rebuild the squad and he could be a good appointment.

Favourites at the moment seem to be McCall, Rosler and Evans. Redfearn creeping up though too.

Rosler looks like the best available. No chance McCall.

Rosler has been interviewed for the local paper, continuing to play down his involvement with the owners and that all the games he's seen us this year were coincidental... All until the last line where he admits he has spoken to the new owners since Parkinson has left. Also says he was going for an interview at Charlton which adds 'is touting L1 jobs' to his credentials

Will use the proceeds from my book to pay for DF and Futcher's taxi. Those proceeds were supposed to go to one of my many charities but there is something much greater at stake here.

Word on the street is we've signed Steve Evans on a 2yr contract......

Good appointment of true.

Newer owner confirmed today that we wouldn't be rushing into any decision.

Be surprised if it's true, however the source is convinced.

Having said that, our local journalist has tweeted the following;

Evans has just returned from China, where he spent three days in talks over a managing a club there... "The offer was mindblowing." #bcafc

Evans won't be moving to China for family reasons and said: "It wasn't for me but a couple of other clubs are keen to speak to me." #bcafc

SE: "Bradford are a great club who have been in the Premier League and have a fantastic passionate support. They are the 12th man." #bcafc

SE: "Phil Parkinson has done a great job at Bradford and whoever succeeds him will simply have to get #bcafc into the Championship."

Looke_O I asked Evans about that. He said: "What happened before has been well documented but it was a long, long time ago." #bcafc

He's a knob, and we have previous - but I think I can get over that.

There's only him and maybe Paul Lambert who are stand out candidates atm - which is disappointing. I've a feeling the new German owners have something up their sleeves. Only time will tell.

Would be shocked if he went to Oldham, I would've expected he would hold out for a Championship side but interesting comments with the T&A reporter, no mention of "Oh and btw I've just signed up at Oldham"

McCall is still being linked with both clubs too. I don't see how Oldham could match Evans ambition tbh with all that's been going on with Sheridan.

Now there's an ex Latics scout saying Evans was introduced to his mate in the back room staff.

If this turns out to be bollocks - and I am still skeptical - then he'll lose some serious credibility (he's called things correct before).

Well, Evans in in Bradford newspaper today pretty much touting himself for the job so I doubt Oldham is a done deal. Not that I'd be fussed.

Wasn't it at Bradford where Evans flashed his little ginger cock?

The club have ruled out Evans on the grounds that they believe he isn't the right character for the club, according to WOTP editor Jason McKeown.

According to a Scottish journalist, McCall is set to become City manager, with Kenny Black being his No2. The pairing worked together at Motherwell.

Underwhelmed. Can't wait for the influx of second division Scottish players that worked so well last time ....

Can't say I'm too pleased with McCall coming back, his 'legend' status has got him the job as it's clearly not his management style. Take two then...

Haha, this is funny. Clueless new owners trying to please the fans by appointing a club legend despite the fact he's a shite manager.

Welcome back McGod, take em back to where you left them.

On a side note..I heard one Bratfud ST holder was complaining that he had sat in the same seat for 10 years.
This year he turned up to purchase the same seat to find the owners had put a towel on it

McCall did a great job at Motherwell in all fairness, but that is slightly different to managing Bradford City looking for a promotion. Not sure this will work out and think he's been chosen mainly on sentiment, Rosler would have been a better option in my opinion.
