So it's happened, sad way to end. Wasn't a big fan of him coming back and didn't always agree with his tactics, selections etc. But do most fans with their managers?

Would rather him have been able to leave of his own accord.

Fuck knows who we'll get in.

6 straight defeats (the worst run since he was last in charge) and no hint of any improvement McCall finally goes. Not helped one bit by terrible off field goings on, recruiting at the top of that list.
Time for a new start in a bid to salvage our Play Off bid, hopes of Grayson/Warburton but he will inevitably be replaced by an unknown German U14’s coach to play the chairman’s puppet.
McCall will remain a legend and a lot of criticism is being laid at the Chairman’s door but for me it had to happen.

I'd imagine you will be looking at Simon Grayson.

Grayson would be very good, but imagine he's got his sights set higher (isn't he favorite for the Leeds job?).

Expecting an unknown.

Grayson is pure fantasy in truth and we have a Chairman that thinks he’s God (therefore too much of a clash), for that reason I’m sure we’ll end up with just a yes man, probably an unheard of German as I said above.

Still don’t understand these ‘god’ comments. I have watched the Matter of Heart documentary, much like many others, and I still don’t see anything other than Rahić and Rupps will to succeed shine through. They have a different approach, whichnis fair enough.

I can’t help but think that because there’s so many rumours and speculation about the owners on social media, it’s almost now considered to be true because it’s repeatedly stated.

Losing 6 on the spin tells you something isn’t right. Whether that be McCall’s tactics, or you believe the rumours regarding Rahić’s interveneing with player management. We still have a chance to put this right, and only reason why we’re STILL in the play-offs, is because this league is so damn shit bar Wigan.

Tough, but right decision for me.

RE: who we bring in, your guess is as good as mine. Abbott will take temporary charge, that much I do know.

Mixed feelings, we’ve been gash this season even when winning, partly down to the fact we don’t have as good players in midfield and defence as last year which is a problem with recruitment, but part of its down to players falling massively out of form and not returning and some bizarre rigid tactics at home which has to fall under Stuart’s umbrella of responsibility. Will reserve judgement on it until we get a new guy and we see what he’s like.

Oldham boss linked, no thanks, hasn’t he only been in charge five minutes?

Phil Brown? Simon Grayson would do a good job at Bradford given a little patience, probably get them promoted.

Surely Grayson has surpassed having to apply for L1 jobs, Sunderland a disaster for whoever would’ve taken over aside, his record is excellent at this level and I’d say a CV too good for us unfortunately.

Hannes Wolf, ex-Stuttgart manager linked with us and Leeds, his name appeared on Saturday although his short odds (2/1F) are likely to be based on City fans sticking a few quid on.

He's not really seen as a man who'll have you pushing up the top end of the Championship though, did a great job with Preston but they've stepped up a gear under Alex Neill. So it's hard to see him having many suitors in a league where 90% of teams are targeting the Prem. I know Leeds are linked but that feels like something the fans would want rather than the board. Maybe a stabilizing job at someone like QPR or Barnsley, but I think a side with potential near the top down here like yourselves is most likely. Kinda like Kenny Jackett

Mark Robins or they might come looking for Alexander??
Spend no money in the transfer window for McCall, sack him and then spend a load of money to release a manager from a contract at another club, definitely sounds like something we would do.

We spent money on a German Sunday League striker remember!

Gutted to lose McCall and felt he has been thrown under the bus slightly. Will be remembered for this horrible run instead of a decent 18 months in charge, which is wrong. We've been constantly in the play offs with probably a mid table team on paper. He's done a great job, however I never really thought he was the man to take us to the next level.

The recruitment this year has been the worst thing, yet it looks like Greg Abbott is keeping his job. That's the worst part of it all.

I don't always get that lump in the back of the throat feeling at football, Villa away comes to mind. But watching Stuart lead us out at Wembley then throw his hand in the air towards the crowd at the end of the national anthem were them moments, moments I'll never forget. He was my idol as a kid, wasn't always a fan of his as a manager, but he'll still be missed, whichever team he ends up at I hope they have nothing but success.
