Great appointment, I think Yeovil will do well next season under him. We better get Corr and Timlin under new deals before Sturrock pinches them!

FFS when I found out that he'd quit Torquay after a few days as advisor for another job I thought we might see an announcement that he'd replaced Curle. Damn.

I don't understand what's going on at Yeovil. Is Terry Skiverton their manager or the caretaker? If he's the manager, why? He didn't do great last time so why did they give him the job again in worse circumstances? If he;s the caretaker, why didn't they appoint a manager? Now they've appointed Sturrock about 2 months too late! Weird.

Skivo was appointed as caretaker. I get the impression that initially he was the cheap option and the board wanted to see how he did before making a decision in the summer. But our shocking performances and some of Skivo's post match comments have forced the board into making the change now.

Absolutely, Skivo was the cheap option which is always what our board will go for. Skivo's comments post-Fleetwood were the main catalyst to this announcement I believe.

Definitely should have made this appointment earlier to see if it could have helped their survival in league one, good choice though for next season and Yeovil will no doubt be challenging for promotion.

Though does anyone (surprising though it is to be asking this less than two years after they won promotion to the Championship) believe that they would have stood a chance of staying up whoever had been in charge?

No idea what has been at the root of their decline but they've been adrift for months and the man who got them promotion has been their manager for much of the season, and if he couldn't do it...

Skiverton has always been a shit manager so Yeovil's board brought relegation on themselves to save a few quid, they'd have had a better chance of avoiding relegation with Johnson.
