I am so old I even had players who were made of cardboard, then thin, flat plastic ones. I had loads of teams, even when they came in boxes and were '3 dimensional' in design.

Used to love the game, I would spend hours playing it with mates.

Seems a bit risky all touching the same pitch and ball and whatnot. I suggest you play this instead.

Still got my Club set with many extras and about twenty teams. There were 5-6 of us regular players, we were in and out of each others houses depending on who was hosting...

I had subbuteo but also a similar version which has magnetic rings around the bottom of the players and you pressed down on them to make a pass rather than flick them. I think it was called action football or something.

Any of you older ones on here remember Logacta.

Basically it was played with dice and there were different coloured dice to allow for league postitioning and home advantage etc.

Gave me hours of fun as a kid.

Before my time so I don't know anything about that Logacta game but it does look interesting.

Is this the one you had Luke Imp ?

Pro-Action Football.

I had it and I hated it - mainly because I was shite at it.

Loved Subbuteo, think I still have it up in the loft. We had about 15-20 teams, a mixture of clubs and international teams...though it did look a bit odd when Northern Ireland played against Man City!

I had some annual that included a really simple football game involving shifting a 2p piece around a playing board, filled several exercise books with my leagues and played every game :D
