Need to win this after last week's horror show. Expect the new signings to make an appearance and make a difference.

Our midfield has been woeful so far this season - although we do seem to be better set up to get results away from home.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a home win - surely it can't be Port Vale in the 2nd home game of last season!

I was wavering about going tomorrow as I don't get in from work until nearly 2pm. If I can't be arsed I'll Seattle myself and watch on iFollow.

Our defence has been very solid in the league and with a decent striker to put away the chances I'm looking forward to this one.
We look like we will still be missing 6 first choice players in Stephens, Nelson, Johnson, Brindley, Weston and Akinde. Blackman and Tarpey to make their debut

Ross
Vilhete Santos Clough Tutonda Blackman
Fonguck Taylor JCR
Tarpey Coulthirst

Closest game of the season for me, just need to decide on train from Didcot or drive.

New signings have swung it for me. Finish work at 12 then off to the game. Anyone able to predict our starting line up tomorrow must be David Flitcroft but I'll have a go:

Vigouroux

Purkiss
Lancashire (c)
Conroy
Hussey

McDermott
Elsnik
Dunne
Woolery

Mullin
Anderson

Charles-Cooke
Robertson
Linganzi
Taylor
Gordon
Norris
H. Smith

Any of the bench players could start other than Harry Smith in my opinion. No space in the squad for Tom Smith, Brophy or Iandolo. Got some decent depth there with Knoyle and Goddard to return from injury.

Don't know much about Barnet but expecting a reaction from us tomorrow.

3-1

I'd hope we also have a reaction against our last 2 0-1 L2 games. Though it seems they mainly stemmed from sound defence, but no ability to put away the chances created. I'm hopeful that if Swindon can ship 3 against, Crawley, then we've certainly got a good chance here. However, l can't remember our last win at the county ground??

That's probably because you have never won at the County Ground.

Hope it continues today.

You will need to do much better second half for that to happen.
We have been solid and just taken advantage of defensive mistakes

And now down to 10 men from a stupid 2 footed lunge. Not sure why we have such knuckle heads that play for us continually. Sounds like we have a LOT of work to do and Mr Flitcroft is going to have to start earning his corn and fast.

Can't work out for the life of me why our player was sent off, didn't see any contact. Sour note losing Santos but we played some of the best football I've ever seen from us in the second half.

Thoroughly enjoyable day out

Wow.

Wrote a manual on how to throw a game away today

Gifted goal, stupid penalty, player sent off and the games gone just after half time. Barnet have the run of The County Ground second half which they used well with their pacey attackers.

You know it's bad when players like Jamal Campbell-Ryce are running the show.

Hard to say too much about Barnet when you've just seen that pile of wank from your own team so don't want to take anything away from them. Hope the lad at the end is okay.

For us...no discipline. No shape. No idea on how to change the way things were going.

Maybe it'll take a while for 16 new players to get on the same page, maybe Flitcroft is a poor manager. Too early to say but losing 1-7 at home in consecutive home games needs a serious looking at. Today was abysmal and a low point since I started watching Town.

Play like that next week and Luton will help themselves to another 8.

Getting bad vibes about Flitcroft. He seems to be repeating what Bury fans were saying was the problem when he was in charge there.

Couple more performances like that and he can do one

Don't know what he was on about when he was talking about players who can handle the pressure of playing at home. Surely this should have been discussed in his "extensive one to one interviews to make sure we're bringing in the right ones".

We're hardly comparable to a Leeds or Forest in League 1 anyway.

Long term gains.
Lol, Flitcroft was the greatest thing since sliced bread two weeks ago.

Then he got dicked 1-7 by Crawnet. Things change in football and he's got a massive task in front of him.

Those who sung Flitcroft out in the Town End need their heads checking mind you. McDermott can also enjoy a lengthy spell out of the side as well after effectively ending the game as a contest after 50 mins.

Today was a thoroughly shit day and everyone associated with Barnet FC should be ashamed. We should've scored 6, not 4.

I would be absolutely livid if I were a Swindon fan watching the team just be content letting us pass the ball around like we did. What an insult, they looked like the just did not give a shit at all.

If Blackman has elbowed him in the face or something stupid then his Barnet career should be over before it's barely begun. What a fucking fool if he has, absolutely no need.

I have to go back a very long time to find two goals like the 3rd and 4th today. Plenty of skill and movement involving the whole team followed by excellent finishes.

Last away game I enjoyed this much was Oxford away two seasons ago when we won by scoring 3 goals via muggles thow ins. Otherwise I'm going back to Dougie Freedman and Barry Fry days.

I really, really didnt see anything and was I was fairly close. Fourth official indicated to Rossi that he had seen a swing of the arm rather than an elbow but if he did catch him then there was certainly no power or intend so it seems very harsh. Hoping for a better view in the video.

Nope, still cant work out how he is supposed to have swung an arm

Looks like one of those sly 'accidental ref, honestly' ones. No need or excuses for it. Wonder if the club will appeal though, probably worth it.

Odd, I don't feel so happy about our result last week anymore.

Shock; horror! Andre Blackman sent off. He does seem to find ways to get in the shower before everyone else.

Just looked at Luton away tickets as I'm in London next week then had a whinge at the Mrs cause she said we're not going.

I don't think I'm very well.

Great win for us but Swindon were absolutely dire I thought. Pretty much gave up after their red card and made no effort to mount a comeback even after we let you score a soft goal and Blackman's daft red card.

What happened to the Coulthirst that was shite?

Who said he was shite? :ffs:

He was great today, must be a big confidence player after scoring his first midweek. I'll maintain that he was totally abysmal before this though!

Seen it on a big screen this morning.
He brings his arm up and clips the guy on the back of his head. No power in it, stupid petulance that's going to cost us as we already have 2 injured full backs
