if them two massive clubs, Luton and Carlisle can have a road Derby then why not us.

Since back in the League have won all three at St James'

So with Exeter's home form and our history at Exeter surely this is a banker away win.

Won all 3 games at Exeter since promotion
Doing well under Evans
Above Exeter in the league
Exeter have yet to win at home.

Exeter win it is then, obviously.

Still one of the few league 2 grounds i've not been to, though i've been to Sandy Park

Perhaps we should move our home games to Exeter? The Grecians can play there's in north-Notts, though clearly that would create plenty of unwanted envy from the rest of the league, which I'm sure City could do without.

We're trialling a nice big electronic scoreboard for this game. Unfortunately, it means Mansfield fans are unable to stand on our glorious terrace and will have to take up residence in our expensive Main Stand.

No win at home for a long time. We'll lose this 1-2. Never mind though, we're away for the following two matches.

I'm intrigued as to how it would only affect fans while trialing it, where does it go after that?

It won't effect all 24 of us

Was going to ask why we had been chucked in the seats. Means I can't leap like Steve Bruce and win a header like last season :(

I am missing this game, which means a guaranteed home win, which would be typical after having to endure some utter shite this season.

I do actually think we will play well and, at the very least, get a point. We have tightened up at the back since Troy Brown has returned plus we have Beckenbauer at left back. Holmes and Wheeler are on fire on the road but have struggled more so at home, so a lot with depend on how much they can affect the game...

Not sure what to expect from Mansfield. They obviously have a decent manager and so dangerous players, but we have to be confident in getting something otherwise what's the point.

3-1 City. Wheeler, Taylor, Reid.

Well done for getting the win, must be a relief, though if you have any superstitious friends they might ask you not to attend the rest of the season!

Fuck sake. We were pretty terrible. Evans has got some job on his hands.

My plans changed so ended up going but sat down in the Old Grandstand for the first time this season, so have to continue that now.

We played well and worked really really hard. Mansfield didn't really test Pym but put us under a lot of pressure with plenty of balls into the box but having Troy Brown back in defence is making so much difference. That's only one goal conceded in four games and we've taken 10 points from those games.

Watkins took both goals well and we should have scored at least one more, when he dallied with the ball and didn't pass to Reid was in loads of space.

Sat just behind the away dugout so had the pleasure of seeing Steve Evans lose his mind every time Mansfield lost the ball or had a free kick against them.

Overall an entertaining afternoon!

I've missed leaving SJP happy. Thought we were much the better side in the 1st half and it was probably as good as we've looked at home this season. Second half Mansfield had all the possession without really troubling Pym. Good finish from Watkins to kill the game.

Defence was really good, especially Troy Brown and Jordan Moore-Taylor at centre half. Scoreboard looked nice too.

Exeter were bound to come good at some point. They were my 'dark horse' for the play-offs this season and it looks like it may actually happen. All the best for the rest of the season lads.

It's crazy that we're only 5 points off a play off spot, considering we've not won at home till today.

I'm not ruling out play offs but I just think we're way too inconsistent. We've taken 10 points from the last four but we could just as easily only take one point from the next four.

Our Latin motto ought to translate to: 'Charitable For 119 Years'.

We've seen this; tons of possession, added to toothlessness in attack, all season. We don't create opportunities and we don't convert opportunities. This isn't a wholly bad Mansfield Town team, but it is far from a good one either.

I'd go as far as to say that it is amongst the most average sides that we've had in the 35 years that I've been attending. They kinda just potter about, with little nous at unlocking the opposition. And the opposition in this division are amongst the weakest collection that I've witnessed in a long time - including ourselves.

Any team worth their salt will be promoted this season, because the rest of the pack are what the phrase 'meh' was thought up or.

Love how predictable Mansfield are, it's something we always seem to do

Not won a home game in 518 years you say? send down Mansfield, they'll sort it out.

Never got it, yet we always do alright against sides at the top.

Evans will have his work cut out. Can't see more than 3 or 4 of the current set up being in the side next season....

How did the scoreboard trial go? On what basis do you evaluate if it was a success? I suppose the fact that home scored more than away? Never feel we are missing anything by not having one.
