We had to sell our ground to survive and today we finally bought our ground back.

I can’t thank the owners enough and now we will kick on and start to renovate and modernise the ground. What a fantastic day for the club.

Huge step for us and something I never thought I’d see again, the first step in many of getting the ground modernised which it clearly needs.

Guess you will start rebuilding the stands towards the away end which is closer to Peterborough.

The pitch will move closer to the away end to create more space at the Newmarket road end.

That was the original plan when the away end was built all those years ago. Unfortunately, a lot has happened since those days that haven’t allowed for the club to move forward with those plans.

Hope you enjoyed your visit though :)

Heard this yesterday, great achievement in a place like Cambridge.

Saves it being turned into Flats like ours will be soon.

Yep it’s a huge moment for us, feels like the wrong of almost 20 years ago has been righted. The depths of despair we hit post relegation from the league in 2005 were always against the backdrop of having to pay a lease on our ground and the uncertainty of what our landlords wanted to do with it.

It’s been such a journey over those years, to reach this point is genuinely emotional for U’s fans.

Kind of like what Carlisle did - moved a stand with the intention of building more, but run out of money.
My last trip to your place has very fond memories, we clinched the title. How different things are now.

Congratulations. Never underestimate the power of owning your own ground. We'd have probably gone under if we hadn't owned the DW.

Only been there once and we won 1-0 against the play. I think it was the season we were relegated, but reprieved because Hereford went bust. Best wishes.

We've had alot of things to be happy and proud about the last couple years, but this is arguably the most important.

Every club should own it's home!
