What about Brentford FC 19/20? This team is finally ready to promotion?

The Bees have lost two great player, Mepham and Maupay but It bought some very good players as well as Raya, Jansson, Pinnock, Jensen and young interesting players such as Mbeumo and Valencia.

In my opinion, in the last season at Griffin Park, Brentord has made and additional effort to promotion target.

What do you think about?

If they'd have kept hold of Maupay top 6 without a doubt. Now, I'm not sure. Jury's still out on Thomas Frank also.

Is this thread to discuss Brentford player sales? More important than how they do on the pitch.

Have they?

Sold their man striker and source of goals and didn't replace him.

Would have had them pinned for playoffs until they sold Maupay. Not anymore, midtable obscurity once again.

To be fair they did sell him for £30m and included a 75% sell on clause

Are you sure it hasn't been replaced? Did the last year ever say that he would score so many goals?

Given that your move for a striker fell through I'd say yes he hasn't been replaced.

Maybe Ollie Watkins can score a lot this season.. Or those goals will be divided among the various Canos, Marcondes, Mbeumo, Forss.

Say that BFC is weaker just because he sold one player is not true in my opinion.

Maupay last season had come from a season with 12 goals in 42 Championship match, not an exceptional score.

One player who scored you 28 goals. Will 'Canos, Marcondes, Mbeumo and Forss' score an extra 28 goals on top of what they scored last season? It's very unlikely. I think all things considered finishing mid table/top half would be a good season for you.

football is not mathematics.

Midfielders can score more goals, maybe the team can score less and suffer fewer goals.

Last year no one expected so much goals from Maupay, yet the BFC did not reach the playoffs.

I disagree with your analysis :)

It's alreyt pal, as long as they have good transfer windows then finishing top twelve is fine.

few people believe in Brentford FC, I see.

Brentford FC has been working very well for some years and this year has invested a lot. Next year will play at your new Stadium and the target is: Playoff to PL (which is a dream for a club).

Let's see what happens this season :)

I absolutely respect what Brentford have done and continues to do but think constantly selling is detrimental to their chances of going up.

They've started slowly this year so far albeit with a win up at Boro, they'll be PO contenders but can't see them making the next step.

There is only so long that will work for. Southampton done it so well for so many years and now they look like they will be in a relegation scrap again.

I think Brentford have invested wisely and they are definitely a PO contender. Very tough game for Leeds tonight (especially with possibility of three 1st teamers injured) - can see this as a battle and finishes as a score draw.

I appreciate your respect to BFC :)

Maybe now we have also a good striker: nikos karelis

What do you think? He will be the man that we need?

Nope total rubbish

Good defense no attack 12th to 15th
Makes a change from our No defence good attack!

Reckon you’re probably right. We’ll improve as the season goes on as we always do but early signs suggest the play offs will be a bit too far (unless this Karelis dude has a big impact), I reckon 8th - 11th, same as every season.

What do you think about the recent win against Derby County?

Mbeumo is fit, Benrahma is a player of another category, Watkins.. Boom!

I am the only one that think this team will reach the playoffs? :)

I find it interesting that you started this thread after Brentford’s first win of the season and then re-appear after their second win of the season.

Hopefully after brexit there'll be stronger controls on posts.

Think you’ll actually sell your full allocation at ours in October?

Maybe because in that matches we see all the potential of the Team..
