1st place Doncaster Rovers. Winning 9 of the last 15 league games, drawing 6 and losing 1.
Unbeaten at home, Rovers have won 7 of our last 10 home league games, drawing 3 and losing 0.

2nd place Plymouth Argyle. Winning 7 of their last 15 league games, drawing 3 and losing 5.
Away from home, Argyle have won 5 of their last 10 away league games, drawing 3 and losing 2.

In my mind, we can lose and still win the league BUT I believe whoever wins will be champions, especially if Plymouth take our unbeaten home record away...

Saying this I believe we will win 2-1

I think Donny will win the league either way, and deservedly so as you don't fluke champions.

We'll give Donny all the time on the ball they want and defend with organisation and resolutely, look to counter, try to get to half time 0-0 and then pinch one second half. The rest of the league comes away moaning and says how Donny were so much better because they had all the ball and we've come away with another 'undeserved lucky away win because we had less shots and no possession', when really we've won away 12(?) times this season now and Derek Adams employs an effective and efficient tactic which suits us to a tee on our travels.

Away from home our back 4 can almost become a back 7 with our full backs tucking in and wingers becoming full backs.

Either that or Donny will win 3-0.

Looking forward to it. Mothers Day so she's not too pleased about being second priority!

Typical big game that Adams will set us up perfectly for. We'll sit back, you'll control the game, we'll make vital blocks and then go for it in the last 20 minutes. For all of Adams flaws (getting beat at home by 23rd in the league) he does have an incredible away record and will set us up well for this. I think it'll be 1-1 or we'll steal a 1-0 win.

After winning at the weekend with the gaps the way they are I feel like we're going into this without any real pressure, it's probably a bigger game for Doncaster because they know if they can win in front of their own fans it'll mean the title's won (even though in reality it probably is anyway) but if we win it could put a bit of a downer on it, on the other hand I literally don't think the result will end up affecting the outcome of our season either way

I think we will really be up for this one after what happened in the first game. My only worry is in recent seasons, when we have had a decent crowd at home we have failed to rise to the occasion. Your keeper seems to be our fans public enemy number 1, so I hope he can take some stick. Should be a good game between the best 2 teams in the league.... I'm going 2-0 Donny

In all honesty after the abuse Luke has had in the past and gets on a regular basis, he's not gonna be put off by a few Donny Rovers fans acting the big one because their player dished it out to him, then missed the penalty, then couldn't handle getting it back from him :fl:

It normally fuels him to better performances really. Would be a shame if you were like the Pompey fans though in that the only time you actually get heard on the TV is when singing about him.

Draw 1-1. Or more then likely lose. Couldnt give a flying one about who wins the league.

A win in this game is a bonus. Even if we walk away with defeat, it wouldn't be a disappointment as long as our players turn up and put on a good preformance

The title would be a bonus at the moment I'm only interested in getting enough points for promotion so Sunday is chance to get 3 points closer.

Right now, as I have most of season I would take a draw!!
I wouldn't accept a loss if I'm 100% honest, we're unbeaten at home, would be shame to lose it.

Blackpool will take that off of us, they always beat us at home

That is the only reason a part of me would like to win, to say we are the only ones to beat you at home. But in truth a draw would be great and a lose not a disaster. I have felt ever since we lost to Leyton the league was won, and the best we could do was second.

We've beat both of yers so neither team deserves to win any sort of title.

Come on how could you get beat off us? Especially Donny!

The game is to be officiated by the same ref in the reverse fixture. I can't ever recall that happening before.

Didn't realise that was the only time we've been heard on the TV, PG?

Anyway, this thread has all been a bit of a mutual 'love-in', which is hopelessly out of sync with the zeitgeist. Here's hoping that there's a massive controversy in the game that turns an entire generation of Rovers / Argyle fans against each other for the next decade (and de-stabilises both clubs in the run in). Not too much to ask. ;)

Luke McCullough is back after his injury early, great news would expect bench only but adds great strength

Spot on so far but truly awful for a neutral to watch which I realise means heehaw in the grand scheme of things but still.

Better 2nd half but Doncaster wouldn't have scored if the game was played till next week Very poor finishing!
