So another week and another home match for us long suffering Exeter City fans. Surely our first home win in the league since 1847 won't come against one of the league's top teams will it.

Will be good to see Coppinger back at City and expect he'll have a field day against Craig Woodman. I also fully expect Williams and Marquis to cause us serious problems.

0-6

I'm bewildered by what's going on at SJP. Perhaps you could shed some light for us.

Why are the fans just standing back, watching and accepting what is going on? For a club which is 'owned by it's fans' as so many proudly claim, why are the fans not having a voice? Isn't it time you lot all actually pulled together and did something about the Tisdale situation and home form? 20 people gathering and singing a couple of songs is not enough.

I know you lot are all uppety uppety and gently gently in Exeter when pulling on your knitwear and hosting the in-laws for braised pork belly and gluten free pumpkin pudding but this is football, a 467 page thread on your forum isn't going to get your manager out. Unite and do something about it for goodness sake!

I would say a team with Reid, Wheeler, Watkins, Ampadu and Holmes should be looking to be encroaching on the playoffs this year, the standard appears a lot poorer than last season.

Williams won't score he's injured and our form has been terrible since he was. You will definitely score as we can't defend. We will probably score so the best outcome I can see for us is a draw. Our current table position is a false one.

I agree entirely but I think that people just don't believe there's any chance he'll walk or the board will sack him, so it kind of breeds apathy.

A motion was passed at a recent AGM to renegotiate his contract so at least that's a step in the right direction. Again I agree that we have the squad that should be aiming for top 10 but we lack balance and have no athletes in the centre of the field. Basically a team built in Tisdale's image.

I think a lot of us still believe that our home form will eventually improve. We know the team has the ability to play well, it's just a mental condition we have developed at home. A big part of football is in the brain, we need to shake ourselves out of it and regain confidence at home.

I believe we can do it and I think many others do as well. This isn't to say Tisdale doesnt have a role to play here - he needs to shake things up to get the players out of their rut. I hold him more responsible however for some of the poor acquisitions he has made, Robbie Simpson is not up to scratch and I haven't seen enough desire and quality from McAlinden. The sad thing Tisdale also makes some amazing signings and is a proven expert at developing youngsters. Tisdale definitely has his flaws but he also has some fantastic abilities.

I suspect at this level we could do a lot worse in terms of managers.

You say he needs to shake things up to get us out of a rut? Seriously, it's been 5 years of abysmal home form....that's not a rut, that's unforgivable and ultimately Tisdale should go. He signs the players (yes, some have been good) but he also picks the team, formation, tactics and things don't change.

We need fresh ideas and approach to replace the stale monotonous state we've been in for ages.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's false, up until now we still look fairly menacing up front with Copps' and Marquis. We've made hard work of results recently and I don't think we look convincing at all, especially at the back (based on what I hear from the message boards and the Free Press, league two is hard to keep up with in Belgium, all they talk about is this 'Premier League' or something. .:err:

They'll score, hopefully we just score more, its always been Fergie's favourite tactic. Crossing my fingers for 2-1 to the Rovers to keep pace with the top. We might not be playing well, but we just need to stay in touch with the front runners.

We've won games due more to poor finishing by the opposition than us playing well hence the false position. I really don't think we have played well for the majority of our games so far. I hope this means when we get a settled side (injury free) the performances will improve while still getting the results

How's Reid doing? He looked slimmer when we played you. It does take him a while to get going, is he a goal threat yet? Is he gelling with the rest of the team?

Mixed so far I'd say. He scored twice but you can see he's desperate to get more.

He makes a huge difference in terms of us keeping the ball in the final third and I think away from home he's been a greater asset as teams tend to struggle to keep him quiet, which in turn has meant Holmes and Wheeler have found some scoring form as the I'll defence struggle to keep all three quiet.

He's certainly looking relatively lean and he's a great focal point but he needs to score a couple more before he wins everyone over I'd say.

That sounds reasonably promising. I always felt he took time to get into the swing of things. He is good at holding up the ball for others.

Never in doubt. You really don't have to be any good whatsoever to beat us, as Donny proved.

I listened to Interviews by Tisdale and the Torquay manager tonigth. One threw his toys out and demanded the players have a long hard look at themselves. The other said all is hunky dory, we were just unlucky. Can you guess which was which?

That win is coming according to him.
