.. is imminent. Crazy debts and a record 10 league defeats in a row. 70 managers applied for the vacant managerial position.. not one picked...

Will we see out the season without going bust or entering administration? I doubt it.

At least AFC Bury will be a laugh!

Couldn't give a shit about Charlton after that article your fans published basically offending the whole of L1. No sympathy from me now.

Around 7-8 million allegedly. And for what we ask?

Stewart Day (chairman) and David Flitcroft have a LOT to answer for.. budget this season higher than last apparently! Talk about pissing a budget up the wall! Bury are finished.

Don't give a shit about Bury after UTS' comments basically stating he doesn't care about another club in trouble. No sympathy from me now.

With respect, your situation is nowhere near as bleak as ours, and perhaps Charlton publishing a Billy big bollocks article the day of the fixture release didn't help.

How are you overspending to that extent with the FFP rules?

Obviously don't want to hijack this thread if it's genuine but I have provided pages of evidence of how fucked our club is.

You've posted something to tell us that you've lost 10 games in a row. And that 70 blokes have applied for the manager's job whilst you're about to enter admin, a quick google search backs up neither.

This isn't a "whose club is worse run than who thread" (what a depressing thread that would be) but Charlton have one of the biggest budgets in the league and a decent squad.

We are on the brink of going out of business and yes, we have lost 10 league games in a row. 13 defeats in 14 in all comps. Charlton are what?

Anyway shame there seems to be a lack of sympathy for our plight.. I completely understand we have overspent and had it coming etc, but as always it's the fans that suffer. Especially a fanbase such as Bury's who despite the massive attractions on the doorstep in terms of the Manchester clubs, amongst others, have stayed loyal to their local club.

I wasn't trying to turn it in to one, you were the one that started comparisons. I was merely making a tounge in cheek post after your comment regarding our situation.

Listen, I'm a football bloke and nearly lost my club once before. I completely sympathise with your situation and if there are any petitions or donation sites (if it ever came to it ) I'll be one of the first to sign/donate. I owe Bury that at the very least for Dean Kiely.

What is always sickening is the way people in charge/running the club escape scot free and invariably move on to some other ' troubled' club to reak their brand of crap management.
The most deplorable aspect is the failure of the F A and others to vet potential owners and avoid these nightmare scenarios which bring clubs to their knees
Like every football fan you can only hope something can be salvaged to enable ( Bury ) and others in this position to survive and move forward

We all have our differing opinions about the state of various clubs, whether or not you like or hate them, but..................
I hope that at least 23 of the 24 current L1 sides survive intact

Tbh this is the way of football at our level these days. Gone are the days of big money owners and massive crowds. Football depends on sponsor deals and if your small fry you can't attract them.

Us, Bury, Notts County, Blackpool, all massively struggling financially while the bigger clubs like Charlton bolton Sheff utd Coventry have problems of a different nature where owners believe fans don't matter.

Tbh it's probably easier listing the clubs on a sound footing rather than those whose fans fear going to the wall

It's obviously a shame to see any club in financial difficulties, but having been aware of the massive overspending at our neighbours for the past couple of seasons, it has been coming.

Add to this the fact that UTS has been way too quick to poke fun at almost every other team in L1, and I doubt that you will find too many people jumping to donate money this time.

Not too long ago that Dale fans donated a significant sum of money to help bury the last time they were in difficulties. This time; I'd rather help Oldham.

Why does our owner believe fans don't matter?

I don't care which club it is, even Oxford, I wouldn't want any club to fold. At the end of the day we're all fans - most of us of middling little clubs searching for that moment in the sun again after years in the pissing rain.

Not what I meant but I typed it wrong. What I was trying to say is most clubs big or small in the lower leagues have their problems.
Agreed, our's is UTS!!
When we go bang and I suspect we will why should any other clubs fans give one?
We have (as a club) only our self to blame

Although not the fans fault, Bury have been overspending something rotten for a good couple of years now and this has definitely been coming and the owners deserve this. The fans on the other hand don't.

Struggling to have much sympathy though when my own club has to compete with these sides who blatantly overspend, yet our well run club is in the main doing very well on the pitch too. Their overspending hasn't helped them one little bit.

Well, if they have overspent and that hasn't helped them and your club is well run and doing OK, what's your problem?

I see your point, but a lot of our lot are probably happy about Burys current situation because of how a few of them at the start of the season found it amusing we were bottom for a while. Other sides in the past have succeeded if only briefly from overspending (Stockport for example, who won against us at Wembley in the L2 playoff final in 08). Our fan base as a whole felt aggrieved by the whole situation as we hadn't been promoted since 1969 and at the time were denied that because of another teams mismanagement. Of course now we know where Stockports overspending did get them and we did eventually get promoted (twice).

Obviously at the moment Burys overspending isn't helping them but my point is made more in a general sense because of teams profiting from it. I also think with them being our local rivals and seeing posts on our forum about them quite often. We've probably heard a lot more inside info and sympathy from our fans has worn thin. It isn't the first time Bury have been in this situation either.

Have Bury ever been run properly? I mean, they were decent payers in L2 with not great crowds.

They've never been a Club who have, from the outside, looked like cutting their cloth and paying what they can afford.
