Dagenham vs. Orient this Saturday in a second consecutive London derby for the O's. Which is nice, as we didn't have a single derby last season in League One. Or would be nice, if we didn't have to go to Dagenham.

We haven't had a great time of it at this horrible little ground in recent years, but the two clubs enjoyed contrasting opening games, and I'm vaguely hopeful we might pick up a narrow 1-0 defeat despite having about 80% of the ball.

Particularly looking forward to being repeatedly told to go forth and multiply because this particular corner of our fair capital city belongs to the opposition. Should be close to 1,500 O's meekly sitting on our hands whilst the local denizens put us in our rightful place.

I'm still undecided whether to go or not. Orient is the pick of the games as it's the closest we get to a rivalry these days even if the Orient fans couldn't give a shit however I'm as reluctant to travel to Dagenham as you are.

Can't see us getting anything either. Fairly comfortable 0-2 loss.

Why wouldn't you go? Have you got a bit of a schlep to get to the ground?

I've been away all week and I live in Colchester. Not sure if I can be arsed in all honesty.

Ha, fair enough. I'm just up the road from you in Sudbury. But it does beg the question that if you're not going to be arsed for your biggest game of the season, when are you going to be...?

Probably never. I haven't been to many games over the past few seasons anyway. Just not as bothered by football as I used to be.

I've heard vicious rumours that Orient have been given/sold 1700 tickets. Which suggests that you've got 500 for the terrace which never happens, not even with Southend. We usually only give 300 there.

Should be a cracking attendance, over 3500 I reckon.

We've got firm cards though so it's understandable you give us less. HARD

Orient will be all over Dagenham. 20 shots to 0 for the first 82 minutes when Cureton breaks the deadlock. James will equalise with a mishit punt to McCullum that goes into the top corner.

1-1

Dagenham is a shithole combined with sarcasm, you're onto a winner. Anyway, you get our nice away stand so stop moaning.

Anyway, I'll take a draw here as we've had a tricky start and Orient have a tidy squad for this level. 1-1

Probably the two closest teams in the division at 13 miles apart from each other.

Its not really been a happy hunting ground for us, we always seem to screw up there in competitive matches or play really poorly - Last seasons 2-0 JPT wins was the most comfortable I've seen us play there.

I've lost track of the amount of friendlies I've seen us play there as well, this will be my 15th visit to Dagenham in the last 11 years I think.

We have indeed requested extra tickets for the terrace, a good idea as one or two are going to try and get into the home end.

Cureton is bound to score, given that he was really poor for us.

Orient were very good but we were absolutely turgid. Sigh.

Well deserved win by Orient. Could have been 6. We are dire, just have no midfield.

Don't know what you geezers are going on about the Daggers' poor ground, I thought it was fine. Went there last year where I met the great Lee Wilson. Was hungover out of my skull but was a good do and all.

Not as good as Orient though. Nothing beats Orient for a piss up with the TFF gang. NOTHING!

I was disappointed in the end we didn't score more than we did, it should've been more than three. How Simpson missed his header which hit the bar I don't know.

I have to say, I thought it was too easy in the end which was probably why we ended up letting one in.

Dagenham looked better when Jones came on, I can see why he is hyped up a bit, raw but with plenty of ability.

We're still a work in progress, we still need a few more players as well. Very important though form our perspective after last season to start quickly.

Can only see a season of struggle for the Daggers based on what I've seen.

Not sure about midfielders playing in the hole, ours looked like they fell down one! No width at all, no one dominating in the centre and some of the defensive play was suicidal. Orient deserved the win fairly easily, and I feel like I say this every week, but they are three so easily avoidable goals.

Nice of Burnett to be such a nugget about the game in his post-match interview. He can go with Martin "We should have been 3-0 up at half time" Allen to the blind, ungracious manager naughty step.

I've watched some dreadful games at Victoria Road, but usually it was Orient being dire. That didn't feel like a typical Dagenham team (I.e. high intensity, pace on the break, lots of crosses) at all. You had literally... nothing. Doubt we'll pick up an easier three points all season.
