Got a video for you guys, taking the piss out of The Guardian's hilariously fucking pompous and absurd opinion on the 2014 World Cup.

I'm pretty new to the whole Youtube scene, so I'm just trying to promote this video around places where I think people will be interested in the material and having a bit of a laugh – apologies if this is against the site rules or you consider this spam. I'm not much of a football fan, but I am a fan of laughing at idiots, and this article was such a bollock-crushingly moronic example of someone unfairly shitting on football and football fans that I had to respond immediately. Two years later.

I've got a video coming next week on how The Guardian thinks that Thomas the Tank Engine is basically Hitler, then following that maybe something about how your air conditioning system is a rapist, how clapping can be frightening, how your garden shed is transphobic etc, I think you get the picture, so please subscribe if that sounds like something you're interested in. Thanks mate, really appreciate the feedback! I do tend to waffle, so that's some constructive criticism I can really take on board. Out of interest, what kind of length would you usually think is best for a video like this?

Well, the video series is called "The Best of The Guardian" so it wouldn't really fit my plan to limit it only to recent events. I do intend on covering more topical articles in the future, but I'm just learning how to edit videos so it still takes me a fair bit of time to get them finished. The article chosen for this video was a piece of low hanging fruit I thought would be fun to launch the series with, it's an accessible topic and so I thought it was a good one to cut my teeth on as I teach myself how to edit videos.

You should get someone else to read it. The current narrator sounds like an annoying Eton graduate trying to rip off Liam Williams. And yeah 23 minutes? That's the real piss take, right?! I stopped it a second shy of 1 minute 30 seconds. You have to be really really good to get someone to commit to that length. Had it been 3 minutes or so I might have listened all the way. Fair play for getting off your arse and creating something, though.
