Back to league action and we're up against familiar opposition in Morecambe, the other team lucky enough to have the great man manage them for an extended period. Still my favourite ever Rovers manager, some of the stuff we played under him was glorious. Good to see one of his protégés Jim Bentley still there doing a good job on a small budget, and by all accounts playing decent football as well which should make it a good game to watch.

Mixed record against these down the years, the odd decent win but a few thumpings as well, couple of moments that stick out from home games are obviously that Wayne Hatswell OG in the Cup but also that Bruno Teixeira wonder goal winner back in 05. Morecambe had some quality players back then like Michael Twiss, Garry Thompson (who's back there now I believe) and Danny Carlton, plus good old Celi.

Anyway looks like Mills should be back tomorrow after doing his back picking up his baby last week which is good, Reid is hopefully getting sharper which should help us going forward and Pearce should be back so we can fill the bench again. Reckon this will be tight but hopefully we can nick it.

Btw it's kids go free tomorrow which applies to away fans as well.

Jim Harvey is everything that is good in football. When I was a kid Morecambe were always the team to beat in the 'old' Lancashire Combination, I've seen Fleetwood thrashed too many times by the Shrimpers and grew up 'hating' them. Remember being at Christie Park on the Saturday after the Munich Air Disaster, time mellows one and now keep an eye on Morecambe's results, will be rooting for them but I think the best for tomorrow is a draw. I wish FGR well, nice touch letting kids in free as well as away fans, you seem to be drawing a lot of games but only 2 defeats looks pretty good eh

I think you will find that the free entry applies just to children, including those who are visiting, and not all away fans.

Still uncertain if we can score often enough to beat anyone. But this sounds like it will be an entertaining game. Looking forward to it. Bring your sunglasses as the sun will be blinding from the main stand just before it goes down.

Looking forward to the return of Joe Mills, always more confident when he's around. Could make for an interesting goal celebration if he gets one.

Think they said first half we had nine shots with two on target, Morecambe had three with two on which sort of sums us up recently, lacking a cutting edge. Sounded like definitely the better chances but Morecambe defending well and in it themselves.

And there's the sucker punch. Morecambe defending excellently but we've made chances and spurned them so were always asking for that.

Well played Morecambe, perfect away performance, solid restricted us to very few chances, took their chance late on and saw it out professionally. Ellison and Mandeville looked quality for them. Same old story for us, lots of possession but toothless up top.

Typical that on a kids go free game that we were pretty shit, always happens.

Take that all day as it sounds like we got battered. We've been on the other side of these kind of games a few times this season and come out with nothing, so it's a nice change.

Onto Halifax on Tuesday.
