Boundary Park is the coldest stadium in the UK... FACT!

Feels like there's hardly anything to discuss here. Play like we have been playing and we'll be well beaten. We'll create a shitload of half-chances but only test the goalie once or twice, probably right at the end when we go for broke. Oldham will pressure our rearguard until they get tired of it and loft one in to the back of the net. 1-0 Oldham... Morecambe up next.

featuring Mike Jones as well, actually. Don't know if he's ready to return, he didn't look 100% against Grimsby yet still improved us when he came on, and would be a massive boost if he was fit.

Don’t know why you’re so pessimistic Shoddy, Carlisle looked a fair side at Gigg Lane.

No places much colder than BP, and having lived in West Cumbria for 10 years that's saying summat !!
Who knows how this game will go, there a lots of factors which make this an interesting game.

The recent news regarding wages and a player strike may lift us or have a detrimental effect.
Then there is Sheridans and Gerrards return and will they be a little over the top which is highly possible.
A healthy away following for this league will also help the atmosphere.
And Carlisle seem to have a decent record against us.

I think if Surridge is fit then we will win and regain a place in the top 6, if he is not then it is down to how Bunn sets us up, get baxter in a 352 for me.

I will be stuck at work having banter with Carlisle fans so hopefully for my sake it will go in our favour.
Safe journey to all traveling Cumbrians, hope you have a not too cold day at BP and I hope for a 2-0 Latics win.
See you all On boxing day at Carlisle !!

We've looked a lot worse in most of our other games. There's been a couple of games where, if that was our consistent performance, we'd be alright, but there's been a lot more games where we'd be in trouble.

We are very good away from home so I expect an easy win for us especially if Bennett is playing!

An easy win for me our team spirit is excellent and will overcome the trials and tribulations of this week players trained today Surridge is touch and go for this game if not I believe Baxters starting ( about time)

Oh no we're scared now if your team spirit is excellent. :(

You can have the win, we won't get in your way.

The last 2 performances have absolutely done it for me.

I’ve been saying all season that we’re not very good and we’ve been quite lucky in a lot of games, but the Grimsby game in particular even surprised me. New levels of toothless shite. Unless we have a good January I think we’ll end up in and around the relegation spots come the end of the season and it’s all because we simply have no goals in our team. Defence we’ve improved a bit, still very slow and gives away 3/4 clear chances a game, but not the big problem, and midfield we’re fine, but we have nothing up front, absolutely nothing. 1 goal will probably be enough for Oldham to win if they don’t give away any silly penalties or own goals.

I think tomorrow could be the hiding we’ve been threatened to receive all season.

Oldham 4-0 Carlisle

He's been brilliant, the best centre back in this league by miles and big clubs are willing to buy him for a couple million.

Unless we have a good January..

Ha ha ha ha!

That'll be the day.

To relay what we know about January at CUFC, without fully understanding, will cause a panic. If we tell our fans what we know, we take away their hope, and hope is a very dangerous thing to lose.

And I don’t mean Hallam.

Whoever still has any hope for our club moving forward with these useless owners still incharge, are massively deluded and just plain stupid.

People just go to watch us for the sake of just going to watch us.

I go so that I can take the moral high ground in discussions with premier league fans.

Not a daylight robbery. We are shite today. Don't know whether it's the system (playing an unusual 3-5-2) or the not getting paid but this is the worst We have looked this year for me, although I don't go away at the moment and Tuesday was apparently just as bad.

The system is being played to get Baxter in his favoured position but he is completely ineffective. Question is if we go to 442 we won't score so what do we do

Out fought all over the pitch and the fat lad had a good game at the centre of Carlisle’s defence

My hope is Nads likes it here so much he doesn't want to go back. He's a character, lots of confidence, gets very emotional about playing. Definitely has the right attitude for a young lad.

Would have posted this last night but had my phone nicked on the way back from the match. Looking into getting it back and butchering the person but that’s for another day.

Onto the match. No idea where that came from. After looking so toothless in our previous 4 games, 3 goals was so unexpected, I’d love to know what odds you could’ve got on us scoring 3, we hadn’t yet this season. Probably could have been more than 1 up at half time, as at 0-0 Hope and Nadesan both managed to miss the ball with an open goal gaping just a few yards out. But we got the lead to go in 1-0 HT. We were much the better team first half.

We took our chances second half, absorbed most of the pressure and deserved the win.

I’ve no idea why we all of a sudden looked threatening, whether it was the change of formation playing Hope more central, or that we get more space away from home than we do at Brunton Park.

Home form and lack of creativity and goals is still a huge concern that needs addressing in January, but for now let’s just enjoy this rare occasion of Carlisle scoring 3 goals in a match.
