I'm probably being completely blind and missing an obvious thread, but anyway...

We travel to Bristol Rovers tonight - previously I've wanted out of this competition at the earliest possible opportunity, but we are desperate for something to turn our season around, so we really could do with a) a fucking goal, and b) a win.

We're not playing tonight for some reason.
I see Bolton are at home, I'm expecting a full house given how many they took to Wembley in last years final..

10 changes tonight, debuts for Loft, Balmer and Leutwieler, Smith, Chislett and Wilson feet up at home and obviously Blaster, Thomas and Devine are busy with international call ups.

Young Shorrock and Walters get another go after facing the same opposition last midweek in the Carabao.

Good half for us that, deservedly ahead and Plant in his actual position is causing them all sorts of problems, been wasted at left wing back!

We are knocking it around well and have had a lot of the play just a shame we’ve not added to the goal.

Saw that Orient had 2 men sent off tonight.. Do bans carry on over to the league? Seen 2 different articles online, one saying they do, one saying they don't

I hate football. We are so poor at the back. Let’s hope whoever comes in as manager can fix it

Good win in the end, tougher second half as we debuted a couple of kids and ended up with a youth team forward line, Dipepa had a couple of glorious chances, mind you the lad Crewe threw on missed a couple too.

Bit of handbags at the end and Crewe down to ten men.

8 unbeaten in all comps now.

Easy win that was. Not sure how strong or weak Cheltenham's team were but they were defending deep even at 2 down.
We have great strength in depth with few injuries. Just need to kick into gear in the league games now

Second half we had a LB at RB, a LB at CB, a RB at CB and a CM at LB. Tells you all you need to know about us at the moment.

Christ, looking a bit grim then. I hope you manage to find a way to stay up as I always enjoy the Cheltenham trips

Not really too fussed about the result itself but good that Kofi Balmer got a half under his belt. Looked rather impressive so hopefully that translates when there’s a proper game again a week on Saturday. Overall though nice to see us give a shot to a lot of our academy players, at some point need to be looking at loans to the right level for some of them to help them develop I think.

Walters looks decent over the two games and thought Shorrock was better tonight. Dipepa was raw as, ducked under a header when a connection and he scores but good experience for him. Not heard of the other lad who came on at the end.

Add them to Plant who’s a regular now and McDermott who broke through last season and is out on loan plus the 200k for the lad we sold to Newcastle and our academy is finally producing the goods under Flitcrofts organisation.

Chuck in the young loans we have who all look very decent and it’s a good system we have at the minute.

As you say would like to get them out into men’s football to develop further now like Planty and Tommy Mac did last season and see what happens.

I know it’s only the pizza cup, but if Cheltenham are conceding 4 goals against us with our recent lack of attacking threat, then you have to say that they’re really in trouble

I believe it depends on the red - if it's two yellows, or simply a professional foul/deliberate handball to stop a goal then they don't carry over.

If it's violent conduct then they might.

As for our game, we controlled the first half and deserved our lead. Had to deal with pressure in the second half as you'd expect.

Didn't see the first red as it was off the ball, replays show it was a bit soft. Second one on first viewing where I was it looks like a stamp, on the second viewing it looks like there was no contact at all.

9 men, would be a miracle if we hold out, gave away a needless penalty and the second after that was inevitable - nearly equalised to force penalties though.

Performance overall was again encouraging even with 9 men, with certain players getting game time, we need to be alot more ruthless when we're on top, but I've been saying that for months.

8000 at Wrexham last night, watching Newcastle kids.

No one has told them about the boycott, have they?

A Plymouth fan tweeted the same thing, only to be met with the response about them taking 38,000 to Wembley.
Thats true, but they weren't playing a B Team (unless B stands for Bolton)

We won comfortably 3-1 at Northampton

Louis Griffiths became our youngest ever player tonight with other Academy players Aidan Elliot-Wheeler and George Franklin also making their debut. Josh Murphy played left back as well. Useful to get some minutes into squad players, injured players coming back and suspended players (in the league ticking over as well.
