Scunny- Losing 3-2 at Huddersfield in the last minute. Thought we were heading to the Conference. Kayode Odejayi saved us. The next season we went up automatically and haven’t really looked back since then

Haha you are probably one of these lads that gets there for 12 to the Iron Bar and only goes to away games that are at the max 2 hours away. It’s people like you why Glanford Park is so shit

Missed the two times we've been relegated in my lifetime so for me it was the first time we lost to that lot up the road 4 years ago today; first time I was allowed to go and the bastards beat us.

Ask any Rovers fan over the age of 40, and most will probably say Palace away in the second leg of the second division play off final 1989, yes play off finals were over 2 legs back then.
Having won the first leg 3-1, like most I thought we'd done enough but 30k Palace fans and Ian Wright had other idea's, we lost 3-0 after extra time and had to suffer the pitch invasion and that song that still haunts me to this day 'Feeling glad allover'.

Cheaty, dirty Wolves somehow beating us in the League Cup semi final in 1980. We were 2-1 up from the first leg, their keeper did a Schumacher on Alan Mayes and the ref bottled sending him off at Molineaux. Take a look.

Going since the 61/62 season and I have seen many bad moments. But I think the 9 nil at Tottenham was the worst.

The obvious is relegation to hell when we lost to Leyton Orient and then losing to the likes of Droylsden and Histon in the following seasons. The problem was the single moment lasted until we made it back by winning the play offs.

Burscough 3-2 Gillingham having been 2-1 up going into injury time. The City play-off final a very, very close second.

Not the worse given what we’d achieved to get there but getting dicked 5-0 in the League Cup Final was horrible.

Worse than being relegated to the conference?

My word that was awful. The atmosphere was toxic.

I hope I never have to experience that again at Rovers

Not the worst, but getting dicked 3-0 in the first 27 minutes of the Play-off final the same year wasn't too good...:sna: Still attending therapy. :conf:

Belgian businessman Roland Duchatelet has completed his takeover of Championship club Charlton Athletic.

The 67-year-old's company, Staprix NV, will acquire 100% of the shares, subject to final legal formalities.

Mines quite recent. 3 seasons ago we scored in the 90th minute to go 2-1 up against our hated rivals - Wednesday.
They then scored in the 93rd and 95th to win 3-2.
Only time in 45ish years of going to games that I've wanted to fight outside after the match.

The single worst moment was being on the pitch at the end of a 0-0 draw with Hereford, end of the season stuff. We were going out of business and it didn't look like there was any way back.

28/5/02. What could be worse than an uninformed FA appointed three man commission allowing your club to move 60 miles away? Follow the club up north or reform and take a 7 league relegation - at that time.

The Winner: Close the thread...:bravo:

Ironically the game v you in the semi-final is probably the worst I've felt at the end of a game.

Probably the Championship play-off final against West Ham in 2005.

They were shite and we had beaten them twice that season, yet none of players turned up and we lost 1-0 because Claude Davis slipped.

Probably Millwall last season, losing to an offside goal in such a crucial game and missing 3 big chances ourselves. Never felt like that after a game, plus I ran out of money and had a same day hangover, not a day I'd like to repeat.

On the other hand, one of the best days of my life. Beautiful hot day, winning bet and birthday.

I was convinced we would never play another game. Puts the current issues Gills fans moan about in perspective.

We did outplay you quite comprehensibly that day. Shrewsbury would have been very lucky to see extra time.
