Both teams sit approximately halfway between the relegation zone and the playoffs, so this already looks like a dull mid-table fixture, but one we can realistically hope to win. If a win potentially puts us four points off the playoffs, if we play well, if Bennett notches again, then perhaps we'll talk.

After a couple of good performances at home we really need to start picking up some points on the road if we want to avoid another season fighting relegation. We seem to have found a back four that functions so my biggest concern is up front with Zoko and Olomola both suspended meaning that Surridge is our only recognised striker, and although he did well against Southend in the cup his legs were gone by the 70th minute and we had no one to replace him, which is when Southend began to dominate.

I imagine we'll stick with the same line up,

------------------------Krysiak
Mugabi----Sowunmi------Smith------James
--------Gray----Worthington----Bailey
Browne----------Surridge---------------Khan

I'd take a point, 1-1 (Khan and Lambe).

If Yeovil are struggling up front then hopefully that will be a recipe for a clean sheet and then hopefully, we win... hopefully. Still waiting on HG to come on here to explain why that is never gonna happen.

Yeah so first time in what seems an eternity that I’m expecting us to win a home game which makes me slightly worried.

We need to win though to end our winless run and ease us away from those dreaded relegation places, especially after pissing 2 points away at chesterfield in what was a dreadful performance technically and tactically. With 2 tough away games coming after, it makes this match very important.

I agree with GloverGing, our biggest problem is having Zoko & Olomola sent off in the same game and both getting 3 match bans leaving us very short up front. Backs to the wall performance, Way has already said we need to be physically and mentally strong so he's expecting a battle.

Have to win this game, especially with Yeovil threadbare in attack. I can imagine Bailey either putting in a top performance or a complete shocker, let's hope it's the latter.

3-1

Graham Salisbury was down to ref this match, but it’s been swapped now to Ben Toner.

Ben Toner was due to ref Blackpool’s match this weekend but they didn’t think it was appropriate given their circumstances.

I wonder why they've put Ben Toner in charge of our match though instead of just giving him a week off. Does he outrank Graham Salisbury or something?

EDIT: Ah Salisbury was going to miss it through injury anyway. Nostalgic to see the coming together of Carlisle, Yeovil, and Blackpool's ownership issues.

FFS. 3-0 and another straight red this time for Mugabi. Probably another 3 match ban.

4-0 down, a straight red and to make matters worse the club didn't print enough vouchers so not all the fans got their free pie & pint.

We were superb

But that was as bizarre a refereeing performance as I’ve ever seen.

We had a free kick near the halfway line, but before it had been taken, something happened that looked like a scuffle, their player gets sent off and we get a penalty, despite the ball not being in play as we were about to take a free kick.

Fully deserved win though, could have been more. First 2 goals were beautiful.

just to clarify the sending off my mate saw the linesman was flagging before the tackle on Joyce I.e. The ball was in play. According to Curle, Mugabi punched someone.

We've lost our confidence and now we've lost our temperament. We can't afford to keep getting players banned, we'll be down to the bare bones next week.

Good win against a poor Yeovil team, though they looked okay on the ball at times and the right sided centre half was very solid first half.

First goal was a superb strike, second goal was a tidy team goal, and the red card/penalty decision confused most people in the stadium, though does make more sense with shoddy's explanation above.

Not getting carried away as we smashed Cheltenham earlier in the season too, but I'll be optimistic if we win at Grimsby next week.

Yeovil were once a team to be feared many moons ago, but now every time we play you we expect 3 points from an easy win.

We've always done well against them, even when they were good, so I've never feared them. And just checked, our record against them in the last 10 years is W11 D4 L3

You're wrong about expecting an easy win against them though, despite our good record there have been a lot of very hard fought wins and I never expect it to be easy.

They used to have that reputation as being a non-league giant killer in the FA Cup back in the day, but for the last couple of seasons they are now just renowned as a typical lower league side with nothing going for them.

Calm down Carver dear. It's only Yeovil, the side with the leakiest defence in L2. I predicted you lot to get 3 goals so I wasn't that far off.

Excuse me, equal leakiest. Although also equal leakest in the top four leagues.

You were good for your first 4 seasons in the football league, especially the season you beat Forest in the L1 play off semis. However you have been pretty turd ever since and even though you got promoted to the Championship it was short lived and it was a poor league that season you went up from L1 and you just got lucky buying a class striker for something like 10k from some fucking numpties of a club who did not give him a chance.
