Might have a look, taking a risk kicking off at the same time as England u21 v Andorra though.

Must win for both teams I reckon, or could be sackings on both sides.

1 game or not, can't be losing to teams like Bolton if you're Salford boss....;)

Seriously though, Bolton need to start showing their quality soon or Evatt's gone surely.

If he sticks with Billy Fish in goal. Then its when, not if he gets sacked. The facts are if we had a decent keeper we would be top 6 and would have beat Crewe Saturday.

Not seen the words “Bolton“ and “win“ in the same sentence for a while now!

22 impoverished Mancunians, freezing to death in a deserted bowl truly is tragic. A worthy charity case.
11 Lancastrians used to Luxury...And 11 mancs who only play for Salford because we never offered them a contract

Will be watching this, but quite easily the two least likeable clubs in the division. Should be an easy win for Salford.

How are why are those clubs hated by Grimsby.....Envy perhaps

Tranmere and Port Vale aside....and to a lesser drgree Oldham I dont think we have ever been a rival to any other lge 2 team

Didn't say anything about hate. I said least likeable. Salford for obvious reasons. Bolton as well fairly obvious, coming down overspending, Evatt being a dick, etc. I'm talking outside of local rivalries too, just generally the least likeable two clubs for a lot, I'd have guessed. Bolton have had little to no endearing qualities for about the past decade and a half as far as I can see, probably since Jay Jay Okacha left. Throw a soulless stadium and cocky fans into the mix and it's not rocket science.

So it is envy, you can lie to yourself. Salford for obvious reasons....you envy who owns them etc. Neat little stadium pro rata for lge 2.
We have not played Grimsby in well over a decade. Two opening day games spring to mind where we basically took over your town for the weekend.
Soulless stadium i doubt you have been in.
You need to admit your club is tinpot and you will feel so much better

Please can you advise when any of these tinpot teams were picked for a live sky tv game......

We played you about three weeks ago?

The envy thing is such a standard response from people such as yourselves who refuse to accept that other people don't like their club. I assure you, I'm not envious of Bolton or Salford in the slightest. I am however big enough to admit that Grimsby Town are incredibly tinpot yes. You seem to be under the impression that I'd deny that?

Claiming that you "took over" our town is exactly what I'm talking about. Did that really happen? What does that even mean? There can only have been about 1800 Bolton fans at the very most there, so quite how did you take over our town? Do you mean that spent a few days in a few pubs?

I have been to your stadium too, we played you in the cup in 16/17. Another game you've forgotten about.

Fair enough i stand corrected on the cup game
I think that we brought 5000 on that opening day 3-3...certainly more Bolton on that day than Grimsby

Oh yeah that was before it was all seater, so there could have been more than 1800. Definitely nowhere near 5000 though and definitely not more Bolton fans than Grimsby fans. Overall attendance was 8393, so probably about 2500-3000 Bolton fans, which would tally up with us as we'd generally average about 5000 home fans back then. I don't ever recall seeing more away fans than home at Blundell Park. Full Main and Pontoon stands here prove there weren't 5000 Bolton fans:
Unless the Findus was empty which wasn't the case.

Hard to tell off here we had behind the goal which is solid and up to the halfway with seats again packed
Do Grimsby fans not partake in a pre match drink.....All the pubs in the town were full of Bolton

Doubt you had any seats in the Main or Findus stands, but perhaps someone else can confirm? I was at this game but I was 10 and sat in the upper Findus falling in love with Clive Mendonca.

Funnily enough its Sky Sport's choices of live games that made my mind up not to subscribe to them when they sent me a tempting offer last month. Oh so predictable games involving you, Salford, Ar***e, Pompey.. no recognition of where teams are in the table.
This game genuinely holds no interest for me. It might be different in March if one of you is competing at the top and we are also in a promotion race.
But not now.

Media rooms in the main stand.....Tv Gantries. Latest Wifi all over the stadium. 15min Taxi ride from media city for the presenters

Lets go to Exeter 4 hours from London in a old wagon. 80 foot cherry picker for the camera man
20 miles of cable to get a snowy picture on screen.....dial up wi fi i could go on and on
