So another away game for us which should see us have a chance of a result. Amazing to think that we don't have a draw to our name yet this season....

Wycombe fans seem to be increasingly negative towards Ainsworth, yet they must still be revelling in the joy of thumping Crewe in midweek. Oh, what I'd give for a 5-1 home win...!

We've a poor record at Adams Park so am expecting a tough game, but suspect we will get something.

I'll go 1-1. Reid for us and O'Nein for Wycombe.

Back from crying about how utterly hopeless we are.

Been to the last 4 games at Wycombe, not heading to this one. Should still be 200+ City fans (mugs) making the trip.

Can see us winning. It's a fair bit of pressure on doing so seeing as we're reliant on wins away. But yeah, 2-1 City. JMT & Wheeler scoring.

O'Nien is highly unlikely to be scoring from the treatment room (not that anyone other than a Wycombe fan should know that).

I think we could get something from this, but an 'after the Lord mayor's show' shambles is certainly not unthinkable.

Nevertheless I'll succumb to unjustifiable optimism and punt on the 2-1 WW win.

Ainsworth hasto keep the same starting XI that thumped Crewe. Having Joe Jacobson back is a real treat as we were kled to believe he would be out for another couple of weeks and what a superb bass to set up Gape for the 3rd goal. If we were mislead by Ainsworth i won't believe his claims that some of our injured players will be out for months rather than weeks. I imagine confidence will be high after Tuesday so i'll go for a 2-0 win.

Great left back is Jacobson....scored a beauty at SJP last season.

Is Akinfenwa starting much? He always seems to have a good game against us and don't fancy us being able to handle him.

Now our injured players are coming back he'll be on the bench,if we haven't scored after an hour he may come on.

Same starting XI as Tuesday, the only reason Ainsworth could have changed it is because of an injury but for once they are all fit to play.

Jammy deflection (from the sound of things) gets us the win, we were whining about not getting the rub of the green a bit in recent weeks so this is evening things out a bit.

Nice to get a bit of daylight between us and the drop spots opening up but still very early days. Hope Exeter can turn things round somewhat.

Nah, I'd be astounded if you lot are still in the relegation zone in a couple of months time. For starters, your squad is a pretty decent one on papar, and secondly, I can't see Ainsworth taking a side down.

Our problem at the start of the season was we had 7 certain starters oit injured but they are slowly returning. You say "You can't see Ainsworth taking a side down" 3 seasons ago he was bloody close as we only stayed up on the last day by goal difference after beating Torquay 3-0 and Bristol. Rovers fucked up at home losing to Mansfield 1-0,3 goals were all that kept us up mate, i never want tyo go through that again as that day nearly killed me. :eyes:

Well that's another nail in the coffin.

Sounds like we had no desire to try and win and then suddenly made attacking changes once we fell behind. More clueless shite from Tisdale. Just fuck off now.

Tis looks a truly broken man from the post match interview. Really sad to see based on how he was thought amongst the fan base 5 years ago. This is getting painful now and for the club as well as himself, he should resign.

Seen the goal now and the keeper had no chance, very unlucky.

He brought on a sub in the 90th minute, what the hell was that all about? It was just running down the clock which helped us not thast we need any help in killing off a game when we're 1-0 up.

God only knows. Still, at least he's the 'best dressed' manager in England.

I can't believe Ainsworth was moaning last night about Exeter running the clock down and time wasting!

Didn't hear that myself but i hate the way we are playing like Stevenage under Westley used to be. It's horrible football that us fans can do nothing about but i can understand why opposition fans complain about our tactics under Ainsworth, do you really think Wycombe fans want to see shit football after paying money to watch crap?

If you just mean this Ainsworth quote:

"They sacrificed much of their attacking prowess to be solid. It seemed like they just wanted a point here today, slowing the game down when they could. Paul Tisdale is a good manager, he knows what he is doing. "

then that doesn't really sound like whining to me.

You can check it out on the Exeter forum, they thought they were playing for the draw too.

Our timewasting and gamesmanship has been massively tedious over the past couple of seasons, no question. Mind you we didn't timewaste any more than any other team does in the last game I saw, time will tell if we have turned the corner though. Maybe refs were starting to crack down on it (and so they should), who knows.

I definitely think we did play for the draw judging by the lack of attacking changes made in the second half.

Typically we let in a late goal and then it's too late to get back into the game. Piss poor approach and another example of why Tisdale has ran out of ideas.
