It's that time of the year in the run up to the new season, where clubs in this league in particular, make their Tin Potness know to all and sundry.

For Argyle, was announcing that McHugh was signing the following week before pen was put to paper, then 2 days later he signs a deal with Motherwell.

I doubt any club can top that, but what are your clubs stand out Tin Pot announcements so far this summer?

We've been beaten to a 17 year old by Nuneaton. Jordan Wheatley from Ilkeston was supposed to be a done deal, played in the friendly v Rainworth on Saturday and backed out in the last minute as he decided he wanted to play first team football at Nuneaton. The deal was agreed verbally apparently with an article from Murray saying we've bagged a real gem etc.

We've also been given updates daily on how our new scoreboard is being constructed - along the side of the pitch where a stand should be

It was never nicked from the NL forum, I never even look in there *shudders*. Just a coincidence. In fact it's a nicked name from back in TFF days and originated from the League Two forum there.

EDIT: Thread name is different in the NL forum, so that's that

The Herald this week, bigged up a MASSIVE renouncement. As predicted, it just turned out to be the announcement of Ginsters becoming our new shirt Sponsor

It's now also been revealed McHugh took a paycut to go to Motherwell. Oh dear.

Just to clear this up once and for all, I created this thread on TFF so therefore I sowed the seeds for the version that appears in the NL forum here and I expect royalties from that scamp mnb089mnb .

I don't think I started the one in the NL forum, though I have contributed to it.

Someone who supports a League Two club copying the thread from the NL forum is tinpot.

For some reason (given that we're run by clowns and managed by a maniac) we always seem to rank pretty low on the tinpotometer, even the billionaire saga is more tragic than tinpot... but I shall keep my eyes peeled for creeping tinpotitis.

By the way, the thread being referred to in the NL forum isn't the one I started is it? In which case I'd say we in League Two own the licencing rights in perpetuity.

I cannot let the opportunity to let this one pass by unnoticed: We've had to move the date for our already rearranged fixture with Barnet because there's a clash with the Sainsbury's staff do!

Our fans are already pissed off enough about this as it is. Do you mean Sainsburys are holding a big function at the ground on that day?

We've purchased a new scoreboard which construction started 2 months ago.

It still isn't working and we won't pay the circa £20k for an engineer to come and fix it.

Therefore we now have 2 scoreboards which don't work along one side of the pitch where we have no stand (well a functioning one).

Go us

How the fuck does that happen in professional football?

I can't see that being topped this season, unless Mansfield have another ace up their sleeve.

I know it's not tinpot, but Mansfield have won football with that unforeseen circumstances tweet. If a club wins the treble, it won't top that.

Interesting. I thought some of the ratings were ridiculous on FIFA 16, Alex McQueen as pace 55 was a joke.

I notice on the 17 demo that Man United have the highest rated attack in the game with a rating of 90. Again absolutely ridiculous, should be 80 at best.
United's attack is only 90 because it's an average of the default starting XI in the game, and I think they've got Ibrahimovic as a lone striker.

Oops. I used to live in Manchester so I'm letting myself off. Strangely when you say United in Manchester, Carlisle isn't the first thing that comes to most peoples' minds.

Probably the same when you say it in Carlisle too, to be fair.
