Tranmere's first home game back in the Football League, so expecting a decent crowd.

We simply can't be as bad as we were against Crawley, if we are then I will start to get as negative about our chances as the Carlisle fans.

Last time we played Tranmere we broke our record for games unbeaten in a league season. We also came up with the best free-kick routine ever (any excuse to post this vid):

Looking forward to this after our recovery on Saturday and a good performance.

Off the top of my head we've got a tough 5/6 league games after this so 3 points is important here.

Still not sure about us defensively so will go 3-2 Norwood hattrick.

Looking forward tonight this. Should be a decent crowd for our first game back in the FL.

1-1 draw with 6,834 in attendance.

I've still got no idea where we rank quality wise in this league, so I have no idea how this game will go! Hopefully it'll be a good game in front of a decent crowd, with many a Gamma Ray drunk in the fan zone. Come on Rovers!

Quietly confident about this one. Going for a 2-1 Tranmere win and 4 points from 2 games to set us off!

Cheltenham have a reasonable record at PP having won on their last couple of visits. It should be a decent turnout for our home return to the FL, though like Pablosammy, I haven't got my L2 bearings honed in yet, so going for a draw.

Cheltenham’s transfer activity seems even worse than ours and they relied on Eisa last season. Norwood has hit the ground running and Smith seems a great addition to our front line.

Tranmere 3-0
Norwood, Smith, Steeeve.

Can’t see Tranmere keeping a clean sheet meself! Cheltenham have always been tough opposition for us too.

Well that scoreline completely flattered Cheltenham, nice to get our first win of the season but we’ll need to be more clinical against better teams.

Sounds like we should have had a proper hammering.

Strong calls for Johnson to go now, and I'm one of them. The bloke just doesn't have a clue anymore.

I'd love him to prove me wrong, but all the evidence points elsewhere.

Rovers certainly had the chances to win comfortably, but after dominating the first half, we kept conceding free-kicks and surrendering possession in the second which was much more even.

The first two games have dispelled any fears I had about a relegation battle, unless we have a rash of injuries. We have been the better side in both matches and played some great football at times. Losing Norwood or Banks to injury is the real danger for us, as we don't have sufficient cover for either player.

Cheltenham knocked it around OK in midfield in the second half, and their number 20 looked a good player, but they were toothless up front.

A tougher test awaits at Swindon next week.
