Don't know what sort of shape the Tranmere team will be in for this 1 either physically or mentally having collapsed at Portsmouth and the non- show at Cheltenham. 4th game in 2 weeks.
I'm hoping either or both Taylor and Thompson will be back for this one and I hope Mickey reverts to playing 5 in the middle with the inclusion of Laird. Hoping the usual culprit in our midfield pulls his finger out for this one.
Think Wycombe are this seasons surprise package, at the reverse fixture earlier in the season I witnessed Tranmere pull off a 2-0 victory, best performance of the season and I thought we were on for better things at that time.
Hoping for the best but fearing for the worst!

On loan Fred from Millwall has scored 7 in 11 games 2 as sub and expect his run to continue, Tranmere 1 Wycombe 2 i reckon to keep our superb away record going with our only defveat on our travels was at Exeter 2-1.

Tranmere 0 - 3 Wycombe. We appear to be goosed.
Most of our attacking threat could be missing from this game through injury, Micky is arsing around with a 442/424 that he seems determined to shoe horn in regardless of the players and talents like Koumas and Hume have been reduced to bit part (or no part in Koumas' case) players. Coupled with our complete lack of cohesion since January, 4 defeats in 6 and 2 of the most woeful non-performances in living memory at York and Cheltenham is the fact we threw away a 2 goal lead at Pompey. Our confidence has gone at just the wrong time.

I think we'll lose too, though probably avoid a hammering. A likely forward pairing of Odejayi and Hugill, almost by default, suggests a long-ball game from us, while I get the impression that Wycombe won't take any prisoners.

If I were Tranmere I'd just stick 10 men behind the ball and hit us on the break, it's not rocket science but we seem to struggle with those sorts of tactics.

Shambles.

Weren't helped by the appalling referee or Wycombe's shocking gamesmanship but if we play like that it's exactly what we deserve.

Fuck off Adams you stubborn bellend!

I wasn't there so have no idea whether this is just our Twitter feed being biased but...it says McClure got sent off for an elbow whereas Odejayi only got booked for the same shortly after, any thoughts?

McClure charged in with his elbow up whereas Odejayi jumped for header and seemed to catch your defender with his arm. The red card was probably only decision the ref got right all evening.

The red for Wycombe was blatant. Odejayi's was probably more a totting up process (the ref gave about 12 fouls against him). Wycombe can have few complaints - a dodgy penalty and an offside goal vs a blatant red.
Shocking ref, shocking performance, shocking match. We're going down and it hurts. Wycombe were awful and yet much better than us. Says it all.

Well Wycombe pretty much controlled the game from start to finish, even with 10 men. Daft penalty to give away and the Tranmere players should of played to the whistle instead of looking at the lino for the 2nd. Was pretty despondent when I saw the team sheet, both JMW and Donnelly out injured left us with no cutting edge and with no Thompson in defence our defensive frailties crept back in, Dugdale had a shocker. Tranmere played like a team of strangers but that's no surprise considering we used our 45th player of the season in the shape of Gardner. To cap a disappointing albeit predictable night off, Kirby was brought on when Koumas was everyone's choice in the ground except Micky Adams.
I really hate saying this, cause I was glad to see the back of him, but where would we be if Ronnie Moore was still manager?

Ronnie would never, ever send us out as disorganised as that tonight. Ronnie with Palios' backing would be a hell of a lot different to the Ronnie of last season.

ok, thanks for the views. Best of luck getting out of the shit, obviously it was us down there last season and it was not nice.

No-one's too big to go down in any division, and the conf is littered with ex-league teams these days, but it's weird to have clubs as established as Tranmere and Hartlepool down there - not that you're actually in the drop zone but still.

No issue with playing 5 at the back to try and make us hard to beat, but I couldn't follow the logic of playing McGahey ahead of Thompson at the back. After a fairly even first half, Wycombe were in the ascendant second half. You could hear the crack of McLure's elbow hitting Dugdale, so don't see there's an argument against the red card, but the visitors were even more dominant with 10 men. If Koumas were to be introduced, more sense to have put him on as the second sub instead of Gardner who'd only just signed for us.

Can't see us getting out of this now. If Wycombe steer clear of too many injuries, they're well-organised and effective enough to go up.

Saw the sending off this morning an absolute shocking decision, McClure's arms were by his side and he only had eyes for the ball, it looked worse than it was because the "injured" player was rolling around holding his face and some of you Tranmere fans accuse Wycombe of gamesmanship? I would expect an appeal over that ridiculous red.Another win away from home and if our home form was as good we'd be leading the table quite easily by now. Hope Tranmere can escape the drop so good luck for the rest of the season.

I wouldn't bother. Lower league clubs have no chance in appeals it seems..

I've only seen the replay once on SSN but it still looked like he went in with his elbow up, the loud crack which echoed round the stadium probably also swayed the refs decision. Even if Dugdale did milk it, it's no worse than what your players were doing second half. The most frustrating thing in games when you're chasing a lead is when the opposition players are constantly sitting down on the pitch to waste time, especially when they leave the pitch at a ridiculously slow pace before running back on at full speed 10 seconds later. Proper Graham Westley-esque tactics.

I've looked at the match 'highlights' again.
Wycombe penalty; ridiculous decision. The ball was hit against McGahey with no chance of taking evasive actions, arms not in an unnatural position, not even sure it's actually the arm that's hit.
Rovers goal. Having seen it again, it's a miniscule crumb of comfort. Quite well executed after a good cross-field ball from Laird to Power.
Wycombe second goal looks offside from the footage, but it doesn't show the position of the defending players when the ball was struck so don't know. Rovers should have played to the whistle and a cool finish from Fred.
McLure red card. Didn't see it clearly at the time, but there was a very audible crack and Dugdale went down. It certainly merited some sanction, but the footage shows contact made by a flailing arm rather than an elbow. Maybe a yellow rather than red.
The referee was one of the most inept I have seen this season(from a good selection) and his decisions favoured Wycombe. Worst was after being unbelievably pernickity about where free-kicks were taken to the precise blade of grass, when Ingam took a free-kick nowhere near where the foul had happened and Hugill stood the correct distance from where the free-kick should have been, he booked Hugill for not retreating.

The Wycombe penalty was ridiculous but they deserve it for their persistant play acting when they played at ours last month. Got no sympathy.

Boz the ref favoured Wycombe? We were the only team to have a player sent off remember. He also turned down a stonewall penalty in the 2nd half when Wood was chopped down.

Were you actually at the game?

Dubious penalty awarded first half, offside in the build up to your second, strictly enforcing the position which free kicks were taken from for us but letting Wycombe move the ball five foot forward, turning a blind eye to the blatant attempts at time wasting. We've had some awful refs this season but this guy took the biscuit.

I certainly don't think we can generally complain about opposition gamesmanship or refs, the amount of times decisions have gone in our favour this season. I don't like our over-gobbiness (doing a Chelsea and whining about every single decision) or playacting, I wish we didn't do it.

Was Jordan Hugill credited with Tranmere's goal in the end?

I know he's scoring by the bucketload, but how is Fred getting on otherwise Wycombe fans? Ostensibly a winger, has Ainsworth been playing him up front?

Looked a handful on Tuesday playing up top. Dugdale's a pretty crap centre back but the only way he could handle this guy was by fouling him.

I don't see you winning that, but you never know. From the camera angle, it looks like its his arm that catches Dugdale, but it certainly looked like an elbow live. The sound it made too was sickening - I don't think Dugdale was play acting.
EDIT - ADDED LINK TO A DIFFERENT VIDEO.
The sound of the impact can be heard clearly on this video
