It always rains when we play Grimsby midweek. The climate must follow them around.

There’ll be a little extra in this one from our players end, having the injustice of the game changing hand ball goal and subsequent 5-2 scoreline no doubt leaving a sour taste.

Defensively we are the best home side in the country this season with 11 clean sheets from 18 games and only 9 goals conceded overall at home.

Conditions expected tomorrow and the fact our pitch doesn’t look great at the minute after around 60 uses on it this season mean it’ll likely be a battle rather than a footballing spectacle and with the prize on offer to us I’d like to think our players will battle harder.

It's the kind of game we won't turn up for, and will lose. That hand ball goal was hard to take though, and hopefully Grimsby have forgotten the "Grimsby's going down" saga of the early 2000's, so our turn to feel we're owed something!

Can’t remember the last time it wasn’t raining. Be surprised if this is on.

If it does get called off, I hope they do it in plenty of time to stop our fans travelling.

Any pitch inspection planned?

The rain has stopped , just, and the forecast is for no more rain but a strengthening wind all day which will be possibly gale force during the game. Hopefully that will help dry the pitch out a little. As somebody has already said the pitch has gone down the nick over the last few weeks due to the number of games played on it. It really does need a couple of game free weeks and some TLC to get it back up to scratch for the last few games of the season similiar what happened the end of last season

Watching on ifollow as I am in California. Only $7:00 here, but is £10:00 in England. Anybody know why there is a difference?

Despite the Wes Thomas blatant hand ball in the reverse fixture we did actually play really well and fully deserved the win that night.
Can see the exact opposite tonight though, 2 goal win for Tranmere is my guess.

I'll roll out the same that I did when we played at Exeter over Christmas.

I can only see a comfortable home win here I'm afraid.

Tranmere bang in form, we're not. Only going to be one team winning tonight. 3 or 4-0 Tranmere.

We're scraping 1-0 wins recently. Score two and you've got a result, I can't see us hitting 3 or 4 anytime soon

The handball completely changed the course of the game after we dominated the majority of the first half. Second half our defence failed to show up as was the case a lot of the away games before new year.

As for tonight, on a perfect set of conditions I think we’d tear Grimsby a new one. In gale force winds on a soggy pitch it’ll come down to who wants it more.

Massively important game for us though, as they all are now.

Well that’s that. Watching on iFollow and I think that’s a definite penalty tbh, Caprice had no intention of getting that ball.

We can’t defend for shit atm but I’m hoping we can keep it at this score tbh. 4-1 at this stage is embarrassing.

Never a penalty. The lad dived 5 minutes earlier as well.

Ruthless finishing from Rovers, playing the bad conditions well so far.

Well and truly on our holidays. With the way we're playing at the minute, I don't think our 6 game losing streak at the start of the season will look so bad in a months time..

Can anyone confirm rumours that instead of wearing shorts and football boots our players are wearing Bermuda shorts and flip flops?

He wasn't going for the ball, it was just a bit of routine 'shepherding', not a foul. Happens all the time all over the pitch.

Not going to whinge too loudly with that scoreline though. Slightly harsh on Grimsby, and a bit lucky too, but we deserve the lead on balance. Grimsby still look dangerous, we can't assume this is a job done.
