The divisions joint best home record vs the most out of form team in the division..

We’ll be announcing some signings after this game and with Ollie Banks possibly back in time to play Macclesfield, a win here would really set us up nicely.

Hopefully we ditch the 3-4-3 in favour of a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 though.

One of those where the outcome seems perfectly simple, but Tranmere being Tranmere, and football being football, it would be no surprise to me whatsoever if we lose this.

Logical score: 3-0 to us
Probable score: 1-0 to Yeovil

I doubt we will change formation. Most likely a scrappy 1-0/2-1 for Rovers before the traditional New Year’s Day debacle, but won’t stake my life savings on it.

Tranmere win, get your money on it big time. We're a joke and will be until Way leaves.

One piece of very good news though. Yoann Arquin, scorer of goal of the season, has signed for another 6 months.

Manny Monthe missing at the back for Rovers, ankle injury, could do with his physical presence. Good news is that Steve McNulty returns.

This is shocking. Yeovil are garbage and yet our wing backs are being too defensive.

Atmosphere is as flat as it’s been since we got relegated out of this league which doesn’t help.

Needs the swap to 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2.

That was shocking against very poor Yeovil side. We played right into their hands with the negative formation, they weren’t remotely interested in attacking us so there was never a chance to counter, naive from Mellon.

We had 14 shots to your 16 so hardly any difference in that respect.

If you were happy with that then I hate to think what watching Yeovil is like at the moment.

You didn’t trouble our goal today and your keeper has made 4 top saves, but no beating around the bush we were well off it today.

Desperately need January signings confirmed ASAP.

Crazy playing three centre halves and two defensive midfielders at home against a team third from bottom. Zero creativity from midfield meant that the strikers were feeding off scraps. We need Banks back ASAP!

His substitutions were poor today i thought, the game was crying out for someone who could thread a pass between their big back 4... ie larnell cole

Yeovil weren’t as bad as expected, played some good balls into our box for players to attack, but after a couple of efforts just before h/t don’t think Scott Davies was seriously tested second half. Rovers had the better chances but were set up too negatively.

It was the 5-3-2.

It’s a counter attacking formation but needs a ball playing centre mid (injured Ollie Banks). But when the opposition don’t attack there’s nothing to counter. As soon as we swapped to 4-4-2 with 18 minutes left we dominated the game and had 2 good chances, but it was too late.

Think they deserve a break from the boo boys though for a pretty good, if only meeting expectations 2018.

Yes we're the worst team in the entire league. You have no idea what it's like to watch us week in week out at the moment with our laughable manager. A point, especially an away one, is virtually a win.

Mellon is generally excellent tactically, but got it wrong today. I could understand him starting with five at the back after the win against Morecambe but we should have switched to 442 much sooner. Not a disaster, and Macclesfield is very winnable. Yeovil were dogged but very poor and we still had enough chances to win the game.

Ourselves and Yeovil have played out 3 hours of the worst football I've seen all season bar none. Thought the dunce hats were a nice touch, even if they disappeared after it became clear quickly apparent the only battering taking place was not on the field, but inside the spectators heads. Roll on an unceremonious new year's defeat at Macc... we'll probably beat Spurs though, going to form.

You've only failed to score in 4 of 49 games this and 2 of those were against us.

Must of been wearing my rose tinted spectacles today because for parts I thought Tranmere played alright. If it wasn’t for James Norwood wearing his boots on the wrong feet I think we would of won quite comfortably. Thought Yeovil had good shape but lack quality.

We definitely had enough chances to win the game, particularly in the first half.

One of our supporters is absolutely fuming about something that happened after the game. He was told by our manager to "f***ing grow up" and stop "trying to f***ing destabilise the club". To be fair to Darren he had just asked him to sign his dunce cap.
