I'd love half our team to be not good enough for league 1. Unfortunately it turns out that all of them aren't. I would have been delighted with Northampton's season in their first season back...don't you usually go straight back down? You've done far better than we did in our first season back.

Na they can fuck off for today. Wafting legs at tackles, half arsed clearances. 5 avoidable goals conceded and they just melted. Fuck em.

Should the teams around Posh be reporting Northampton for fielding an understrengthed team

You're in 2nd though! If you don't make it up this year then does Evatt get the boot? I had you as Champions at the start of the season, but Evatt is a really dislikeable person and so I wouldn't be devastated if he got the chop.

I know it’s a bit mental really. We have been pretty poor since the new year though. That position is based on the performances we put in before Xmas I think. Coming into the new year we had games in hand and they’ve all disappeared now. We could have been clear of the chasing pack. Injuries to key players and having to play every midweek recently has been a major problem but cant use it as an excuse even though Baxter and Dion Charles are huge losses.

I also posted that before the 60th minute where we clicked into gear which I haven’t really seen a lot this year. When we are on it we are fantastic but we were so far off the pace in the first half. Barnsley pressed us fantastically. To be honest the reason we got on top after 60 mins was probably because of how tired they were.

I wouldn’t get rid of Evatt if we don’t go up. I’d give him 1 more season especially if we lose in the playoff final or something. I think he’s a fantastic young manager and we can play some great stuff. Not sure we could bring in someone better?

You may not like him but you’d love him at your place. He’s driven, tries to play good football and even though he comes across as a bit of a bastard at times he’s someone you can really get behind. I do think though that next season will be a lot more difficult if we don’t go up… Wrexham etc maybe coming up and some decent teams potentially coming back down plus I think we could lose a good chunk of our better players like Dion, Thomason, Baxter etc.
