Probably the pick of these for me is Cheltenham v Carlisle, absolutely crucial game for CTFC but relegated teams can sometimes be a right bitch to play against since they can play without any fear, you can't be sure which team will turn up either.

Does Simpson start playing the kids and sack off some of the deadwood that got them relegated, with a view to how the team is going to shape up next season? Tricky one.

Then of course the Fylde coast derby, think Fleetwood would have to win every single game and also hope other results go their way to stay up, whilst Blackpool have the same low level of likelihood of making the playoffs right now, but both sides have plenty to play for in addition to the local bragging rights.

Charlton v Wigan could have been a mouthwatering mid-table clash, but Northampton grabbing the title early doors has kind of screwed all that, so alas it's now just a nothing game.

Vale have a shitter of a fixture away at Posh, the best they can hope for is that the PUFC players may be a bit leggy after today's Tinpot final, but it's a tough ask, Ryan Loft or no Ryan Loft. According to someone on our forum, Darren Moore was seen at the Tinpot final though, so at least he’s been doing his homework as far as tactics.

We also have a seriously tough fixture with Derby at home. We've only ever beaten DCFC once, and I don't expect that record to improve on Wednesday. Would absolutely take a draw if you offered it right now, but I don't think we'll get it, I fully expect Derby to want it more than us and for that to show in the result.

Despite what others might think, Orient v Exeter is a massive game for the mid table bragging rights. Over 600 going from us, which is incredible for a midweek dead rubber.

Team selection will be interesting, Sonny Cox went off and I'm not sure he can start. Mo Eisa is leaving so that leaves Alli up front, or more likely a false 9. Jules and Purrington back I'd imagine.

Will be watching on ifollow but keeping tabs on the other games, particularly Cheltenham

Both teams playing for nothing but we should be riding high after a great perfomance against Barnsley. Would be great if we could see out the season unbeaten

This bit absolutely terrifies me.

I've actually predicted a defeat on our pod. Something tells me we're going to absolutely bottle it.

Peterborough, tough game, we generally produce a stinker against these every time (since a miraculous win there in 2016 from 2 down scoring twice in the last couple of minutes!)

Our best hope of staying out the drop zone is probably Cheltenham dropping points and us not losing by more the one (which would keep us above Burton on goals scored) but you never know, Carlisle went there and won so they are not infallible.

Draw would be ok, if we could spawn a win by hook or by crook it would be absolutely massive, bit of a free hit though our fate likely lies with our home games.

Over 600 on a Tuesday night for a dead rubber is fucking mental. Yet here I am, still debating taking a half day at work and going too.

Think Eisa will play still, as Caldwell will still want to attempted some sort of win, so will play a striker.
No Hartridge though, expect to see Jules back in at LCB.
Can also see us changing up the keepers to give MacDonald a run out looking at next season.

I think you will scrape over the line. Conditions were terrible on Saturday for our game against Carlisle but there did not appear to be a huge amount of urgency or fight in the team. I mean they were all but down anyway, but still it appears it may just be a case of limping their way to the end of the season now, think a narrow Cheltenham win is pending.

I can’t want a Boro win but I certainly don’t want Vale coming away with three points either. Can’t they both lose?!

I think Cheltenham will beat Carlisle so I’m expecting it all to be a bit squeakier at close of play on Wednesday.

I’m ignoring Fleetwood at the moment. It would be an epic run for them to get to our current points total.

We are unbelievably shit and if you don't beat us then you deserve to go down.

Our midfield is pub league standard and so is our defending of set pieces. Look out for a midfield player called Robinson who some how qualifies as a professional footballer and you'll see just how painful we've been to watch all season.

Wellens has already said he’s preparing for next season and will make a few changes again.

Might be a change in goal as Sol Brynn has been at fault for a few goals recently.

Dan Agyei will also likely get more minutes and Jack Simpson will probably start as well.

He must have been so glad that it was Curtis Davies on the end of his error on Saturday and not......well actually it wouldn't have mattered because all of our players are bloody goal shy unless it's our own net!!

Peterborough are one of those teams who always seem to be much better than us, irrelevant of where they are in the league. They just seem to bring their A game out when they play us.

Anything better than 0 points would be absolutely massive. We probably need 2 wins and a draw or possibly 3 wins out of 5. I can't see it, but we are in the best form out of those around us.

I think for this game I'd take a 1-0 defeat to avoid goal difference taking a battering.

Sure there will be twists and turns, if you go off last 6 form from teams around us over the last 5 or 6 games we'd only need a win to do it for instance, but football isn't like that, you just know if we beat Posh we'd then lose at home to Exeter anyway!

I worry throwing away those two points when 2-0 up with 2 minutes to go against Fleetwood will come back to haunt us, had we got those in the bag now I would be rather confident that we'd stay up.

No Fleetwood team has ever won a game at Blackpool and sadly I can't see that changing tomorrow night. Love to be proved wrong but...home win for the Lashers

Hope you’ve done it. One of the best away days in League One with fuck-all riding on it. What’s not to like? I’ll be there. Just hoping for an entertaining game.

Chance of any games being off today/tomorrow? It's absolutely honking here, heavy rain and strong winds.

We've already had Peterborough off to rain once so possible... but when can we then play it as sure they play Cheltenham on the only free midweek we have left!

I'm going for a dull 0-0. We have zero goal threat currently. Boring, boring football under Critchley. The sooner this season is over the better.

16 year old Jake Richards starts only his second league game. The first was against Orient at home.
No strikers for us, Cox is injured and Eisa is off, so probably Aitchison playing in a false nine or whatever.

Can't see us scoring much then.

Right so 6 games without a goal and we decide to play with 0 strikers tonight. Chris Martin on the bench and John Marquis not in the squad :ffs:

Wish we'd just carried on losing and not scoring from October. Sad to see how shite we've become again after such a good recovery. See ya later league 1

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Carlisle had been preparing for next season about 4-5 games ago, they stopped playing players who are out of contract and only really need Kate’s players here next year…..well until injuries hindered it.

They have been doing ok for the last 8-9 games but have usually followed a similar pattern of coming out first 20 odd minutes playing well on the offensive and not scoring then some utter dreadful defending costs us a goal and then the fragile non existent confidence dies a death and we sink.

Relegation seems to have removed that confidence issue because it doesn’t matter anymore, is helping us tonight.

Not going to get my hopes up but good going Carlisle. Seems they’ve saved some of their best work for the last month or so. Bodes well for next season at least. Add another couple please.

Gas and Cheltenham forums both somewhat unhappy to say the least…lot of “Taylor out” on the former.

See DC went for his old favourite of mass subs at half time to try and turn things round.

Well done Carlisle absolutely chuffed with that. Someone on our forum had put an in-play bet on Cheltenham at half time which inspired me to do the same and I’m the worlds worst gambler. You’re welcome Carol and Darren

Hopefully Blackpool see theirs out too. We just have to give Peterborough a twatting tomorrow..or not
