Home to Plymouth for us.

Jackson's back after suspension but Walsh played very well at Fleetwood. That said, asking Walsh to do two games in quick succession after returning from injury is probably not the right thing to do.

Grant went off ill at the weekend and Melboune is still a week or two away from full fitness. Morton still out. McGrandles was rested at the weekend and will probably come back in.

I see most teams have started moving their Tuesday KO times to 7pm now or earlier now.

Sounds a bit worrying, feeling dizzy and nauseous when playing without a head knock. Been exceptional and man of the match in pretty much every game, I'd imagine Gotts will come in for him and McGrandles for Jones.

How are you guys feeling about the game?

Looking at the league positions (you 3rd us 6th), it probably looks from the outside like a good match at the sharp end of the league. I can’t speak for everyone but I personally feel we haven’t really even played well yet this season, and although we could and should have even more points than we have I have a niggly feeling we’re in a bit of a false position and I don’t expect us to finish the season this high. That being said, if and when we click and it comes together we could well be a good side, and Lowe seems to have a very canny knack of getting the most out of what he has.

Looking forward to it, if Lowe is like he was at Bury it'll be an expansive game. We're off the back of probably our best display of the season although that may be interrupted by changes.

There will be a few changes for us tomorrow - I imagine - Jackson in for Walsh and if Grant is missing he'll be replaced by Gotts or McGrandles. 1 or 2 others may be changed as well.

Losing Grant will be a huge miss, been fantastic and a lot of our attacking play goes through him so Plymouth will be fairly fortunate if that happens.

Feels like a long time ago since we've played Argyle at home, sure there was an away FA Cup game during our wilderness? Shame we can't be there in person.

There was a 0-0 at our place under Simpson I think in the FA Cup, then we got bummed 5-0 in the replay midweek.

Still too early to take much notice of the table but over the next 6 weeks or so it'll start panning out, especially with so many games between now and mid-December (11 league games?).

Looking at the fixtures so far, we've probably had it tougher and done well out of it. You've probably done as well as you'd expect with the likes of Burton, Northampton and Shrewsbury in there who I don't think will finish in the top half.

Should be a good footballing game if nothing else. Lowe sides usually give you chances and are fairly expansive and that should suit us. Both sides have goals in them (although we said the same before the Fleetwood 0-0!).

Sunderland away for us. I believe they’ve only conceded one this season in the league and that was a penalty, so obviously it’s going to be tough. But I think our players are going to relish playing up there on a big pitch vs a big team. So hopefully we can keep our little unbeaten run going and maybe nick a point.

We have nothing to lose, so hopefully we will just go up there and play.

I would make 2 changes. Dale for Powell (Powell looked dead on his feet on Saturday) and Lowery for Ainley. However, I think he will make 1 change and that will be Finney for Ainley (which I think would be a huge mistake and limit our counter attacking play).

MK Dons this evening. Feeling a little more upbeat now our players are returning to full fitness. Defensively however we are atrocious so any long ball or cross will cause us untold troubles.

We will create shed loads, but whether we take those chances remains to be seen. It'll be a high scoring game in favour of OUFC or 1-0 to MK, naturally.

Well MK certainly won’t be playing any long balls.

Sunderland are unspectacular but very, very organised and efficient. Difficult to break down and look like they’ll be well up there all season.

Two struggling teams for us tonight, vs Swindon. Chance for someone to potentially seize some momentum and get their season going though.

Crewe deservedly 1 down. Looks like Artell is trying to change our style of play. No idea why.

Very even first half. We probably had best of the chances through grant and johnson. 2nd half we got the goal at the right time and Plymouth werent the same after the break. Should and could have scored more.

Such a good game to watch and it is so pleasing on the eye

Made harder work of it than we should have but deserved win in the end.

2 on the bounce, 3 clean sheets on the bounce. Team still gelling, hopefully will only get better from here.

Got it wrong tonight, wrong team, wrong style of play. Sunderland were just as the Swindon fan said solid but not spectacular. The way we played though made it a very comfortable 1-0.

We improved substantially when Ainley and Dale came on. Started playing some ok stuff. Then he went and brought Porter on and we went back to long ball.

We were probably always gonna get beat tonight but artell fucked up big time to rubber stamp the loss.

Was not expecting that tonight, first 10 mins were even both teams giving the ball away cheaply. Ipswich then pressured us for 5 mins resulting in Wright putting the ball in his own net. After that only one team in it, could have been more than 4 with a better final ball and Dozell should consider himself lucky to have not been sent off. Sims is outstanding amazed we got him

A relatively controlled win for us tonight. Plymouth had a spell in the first half that evened it up a bit but second half we went up a gear and kept them at arms length.

Soft penalty but there was a stronger shout just before that, which wasn't given. The smallest player on the pitch having a free header as well!

Watched on twitter, but sounds like a hardworking 1-0 win for us at Burton - the sort of result we need to pick up in order to stay up.

After Fleetwood dominated the first half, Accy came out strongly in the 2nd and out muscled us going forward. Barton can whinge and moan all he likes but we only have ourselves to blame. Technically we have some really good players and in spite of disappointing results we can still make something of this season
As for Accy, good on them, fine manager in John Coleman and he deserves the plaudits which come his way

Upped it in the second half and dominated, could and should have added one or two more.

Not a pen for me but the momentum was there after hitting the post and having another pen shout just before. Ipswich at home at the weekend, would have been a bouncing Sincil Bank, real shame.

How in God’s name did we lose that? Even a bit of competent defending would have been enough. Had so many chances in the 2nd half.

Poor defending and poor decision making up front isn’t a good combination. We’re in for a torrid time.

Our first goal against Plymouth wasn’t a penalty IMO though the other a minute or so earlier should certainly have been given. Maybe the ref knew he had got that first one wrong?

As for the game, a very even first half between two good sides. Second half we dominated and thoroughly deserved the win.

On to Ipswich on Saturday.

Not much posting from Pompey fans on here recently, including me. Symptomatic of the general apathy surrounding the club and fans at the moment.

Still, a good win at bogey team Gills last night. 3 wins from 4 games now has pushed us to an unlikely 8th. Really don't know where this season is going to go? On paper, the squad still looks reasonable. Jackett's tactics certainly never change. Play-off semi-final defeat again may be on the cards, I suppose.
