Think this is the first full set of Tues fixtures for a while.

I’ll have an eye on Hudds v Brum, Hudds are a good side but their home form is (like ours) only average. Maybe it makes more sense to hope for the Brum win since we’re incredibly unlikely to finish above them, but it would keep Hudds below us.

We rested players today, which in retrospect was a poor and patronising move which backfired, especially if we now fail to get a result starting with our strongest line-up v Barnsley.

Bottom of the form table v Top of the form table at SJP.

Absolutely cannot wait. Orient will be licking their lips after watching us lose ANOTHER defender to injury. Think that puts us on 0 fit defenders. So that’ll be fun.

But at the same time, this is the sort of game we’ll go and shithouse a win off someone’s arse in the 94th minute or something.

Just hope that Fraudwell gets at least one defender in before Tuesday. Preferably two. And a striker asap.

Reading at home. Have to capitalise on this momentum or it’s for nothing.
I’m going for a 1-0 win. And we don’t normally do 1-0s.

Interesting one for us, worst performance of the season today and the last time Crawley came to Field Mill it was a disaster for us.

I would expect Clough to change the midfield around, Baccus, Reed in particular were absolutely dreadful and he mentioned how ineffective the midfield was so I’m expecting and hoping Boateng and Maris come in. Both should be starting anyway.

I was intrigued by the home/away game split after Luke Imp mentioned something the other day, and had nothing better to do. After Tuesdays game, these are the biggest splits between home and away games played ...

Wrexham 16-12
Peterborough 16-12
Huddersfield 15-12
Stevenage 14-12
Bolton 15-13
Exeter 15-13
Burton 15-13
Stockport 15-13

Blackpool 11-16
Northampton 12-16
Crawley 11-15
Bristol Rovers 12-15
Reading 11-15

The three autumn international breaks all occurred when stags had away games or we would have an an imbalance as well.

Reed has been off the boil recently, he wasn’t great against wycombe, though their pace somewhat nullified any space he normally creates.

I’d agree with you though that the changes suggested will happen, maris was MOTM for me after coming on (much too late of course).

Yesterday wasn’t one just bad from the players it was bad from clough - he rightfully gets the plaudits for what he’s doing, but yesterday he’s had an absolute disaster - i expect a response as much from him as i do the players.

Teams will have games like that throughout the season - it’s how we respond - all of a sudden we’re on a 3 game losing streak, with crawley and shrewsbury coming up id hope for a reaction.

I do think he got the team wrong in midfield and potentially defence yesterday but he cannot take the blame for how they performed, even Deji had a bad game, that’s the first time this season he’s been anything below good, you can’t do anything about a player making a silly challenge like Kilgour did.

Also you’ve got to take in to account he is changing the team around by 5 players pretty much every game to keep it fresh due to the high volume of fixtures coming up.

Regarding Reed, he’s obviously quality but this same thing happened last season around this time - he desperately needs a rest like he did last season, if Craig is fit I would drop Reed for the next two. He will come back firing like last season.

Of course he can’t take the blame for that, he can’t take the blame for flints dodgy header or alfie’s daft challenge, but as you say he can take the blame for the midfield, at least he now knows deji doesn’t live on the left of a 3 man, for me changes during the first half were expected and especially at halftime, to leave it can go 3 down was bordering negligence.

Typical stagsnet that bowery still managed to get negative mentions despite not playing

As initially alluded to though, it’s clear it’s very much an off day and goes against the grain of the season, it’s one to file away and move on from.

I won’t be going on Tuesday, that’s for sure. Just haven’t got the energy to see us get pumped by Orient. They’re on superb form and we’re not.

Diabate HAS to play - he’s our only fit senior CB and looked decent yesterday. A massive performance needed but can’t see us getting much. It’s mental to think we were so good a mere two weeks ago against Oxford in the cup. Since then we’ve been torn apart by injuries and departures at the back and anyone playing us should be picking up 3 points with minimal fuss.

Play like we did on Thursday and this should be straightforward.

I predict we won't and Fletcher will rescue the 3 points late on again.

Unsurprisingly wrexham at AT HOME AGAIN!

Partial to a bet, and i must admit wrexham at evens at home to stevenage seems a bit of an odd one, would’ve been expecting 1/2 etc.

Stevenage aren’t any particular run of form, any suggestions as to why it’s that high?

Guess what? ...It all balances out at the end of the season! After Tues, we're not at home until MARCH

We're level at the moment, but three of the next four are away.

Crucially, as we're shit everywhere it's not keeping me up at night!

Facing bottom-of-the-table Shrewsbury.

Should be no problem whatsoever.

Unless we make some signings tomorrow, expect to have the ball for most of the game with us sitting deep and we'll try and hit you on the counter. Although Ainsworth has hinted at changes, not sure who

Heh. They’ve got absolutely no attacking quality whatsoever (even at League Two level tbh) but they are very stubborn. I think you’ll grind out the points.

We are almost always garbage at your place. Plus we are incredibly short of attacking options with Archibald, Agyei, Graham and Ollie O’Neill all out injured & Sonny Perkins not able to make the bench due to a surfeit of loan players. If you get the first goal and then sit back we could struggle as we’re much better in transition than breaking down a side.
