We are terrible away, and will duly get thumped here. Hopefully our favourable goal difference suffer too much damage.

Vale should beat Harrogate but we do have alot of injuries and still have the not won a home league match on a Tuesday night since march 2022.

Have to win this really without being disrespectful to Harrogate. Looking at the other games I’m expecting those around us to win all theirs so it’s imperative we follow suit. Probably be a bit of rotation for this as got 8 games to fit in this month. At least you know Harrogates owner isn’t going to sack his son in the lead up to this game so nothing like a new manager bounce to contend with.

Simply have to win this, would make a point yesterday an okay result.

Must win.

Fully expecting to hear from the boss that Jones tweaked something during his cameo on Saturday and Austin and McGoldrick still aren't ready to start.

Every game is a case of staying ahead now. We've somehow built up a little buffer in the top 3 so we just need to keep winning now.

Entirely in our hands now as it stands.

First of a run of games against top half/in form teams just hope we can come away with something, we couldn’t break them down at home.

Fleetwood concern me. Taken 6 points off Walsall, should have beaten Notts County yesterday, clearly capable of beating anyone if they turn up. But just massively inconsistent. Hopeful for a repeat of yesterday's performance, confidence is up, players are returning and we're actually starting to create chances. 3 points are needed not just to keep the teams below us at bay, but keep up pressure on the teams above us.

Battered us at their place but we got a nil nil. Really good side.

They were poor at Grimsby just over a week ago. Had little threat up front. Maybe they had an off day but with your recent form I can only see a comfortable home win

Artell seemed to say the stats suggest that Tranmere should have taken 15 points out of the last 18??? I think I heard this right.

New manager bounce and all that, they seemed to have played well v PV yesterday but can they do it on a cold Tuesday night in Grimsby?

Think we have 4 of the next 5 at home and if we are to threaten the play off spots we need a decent haul. Tranmere (H), Walsall (A), Notts ( H), Salford (H), Newport (H)

Same team that got hammered 4-2 at a Morecambe side who can't score, only got a 0-0 at Tranmere and huffed and puffed past a poor Gills side. Like I said, they concern me, but they are ridiculously inconsistent, so I'm hoping they don't show up and we can grab the win.

Our away form has been poor in the last 10 games. We have won 2, drawn 1, and lost 7. I don't expect anything to change on Tuesday. I expect to lose and will be very happy with a draw.

Accrington Stanley away. Relegation 6 pointer. It’s another long trip on a Tuesday night, we will put in another bottle job performance and lose.

Accrington, Barrow, Carlisle and Fleetwood all away on a Tuesday evening in winter. 1,755 miles all in the space of 2 months, not to count the Saturday games at Bradford, Doncaster and Tranmere inbetween. God I hate this league, and it hates us.

Morecambe away . Well Jackson needs to change it up. That result yesterday has been coming for weeks. He's too inclined to just stick the same player's out there week in week out. I'd be making 4 or 5 changes to freshen it up. We need to go out and try and win the game instead of just sitting back and trying to nick a goal. Jackson is far too safety conscious. The shackles need to come off starting on Tuesday night.

You can take us off that list, we’ve already beaten you

Take it back, we will have a new manager bounce and win most of our remaining fixtures.

The start of a very important last 12 games. We’re 15th over the last 10 games with 12 points. Same form over the next 10 and we go into the last 2 games with 79 points and probably needing at least a win and a draw to go up. Time to get back to it starting at Carlisle. We only have to improve slightly to still go up you’d think.

Think you'll be without Cameron for this one, unusual to play against your parent club .
We need the win and on paper should have enough to get it but unless we score early and arguably a brace, it will get nervy.
There's not much love for Maynard which is a bit unfair but Meadow Lane can be a sour place when it's not going well and it can get to the players.

Should of beaten Notts County yesterday? You need to hear from either manager before making statements like that chap.

I'm fully aware you missed chances to hammer them and you probably deserved at least draw, but again, you're 2-1 up approaching stoppage time, that always puts you in 'should have won' territory regardless of how the game actually went.

Interesting I've never viewed it like that before. I'd say more accurately Fleetwood very nearly won.

On performances, chances created over the 95 minutes we were firmly in the 'should have won' territory. But on match timeline alone, yes Fleetwood should have won.

Top versus bottom

Even the most optimistic and deluded Carlisle fans won’t be expected anything from this game. Surely.

I expect defeat, but I’m hoping we can at least put in some sort of performance and build on the gritty resilience we showed in our last match. Obviously we can’t match Walsall for quality but i hope we can at least match them for effort and not roll over for them.
