Will it be three more points for six teams in the playoff battle (and straight promotion battle for some)? Lincoln's confidence will be high after the weekend, so may get something at Ipswich.

This is our final match before we hit a run of five really tough games - Ipswich, Plymouth and Bolton away, Rotherham and Wycombe at home. Crewe is a must win for us.

I'm not that bothered with the rest of the results . At the risk of getting some large dollops of egg on my face I think we will be safe enough for the playoffs and it's Rotherham and Wigan and the autos I'm interested in, so a win for us please!

Saying that, the meltdown on their forums if Sunderland and Ipswich lose will be quite enjoyable to read. :gr:

Does anyone think it matters if you finish 3rd or 6th as far as the playoffs go?

I don't think it matters this year unless somebody's form collapses right before the play offs start. Just have to get into them!

Hoping Bolton, Plymouth, Sunderland and Ipswich don’t drop points today, could see our safety cemented with a decent set of results tonight.

But more importantly, today will always be known among Cambridge fans as the day the club repurchased the ground and secured the long term future of the club. 20 long years to right that wrong. Huge for us.

Last season the side to avoid was definitely Blackpool. The final might have been a bit more of a lottery but in reality as the semi’s proved, they were by far the standout team.

This season I’d prefer to avoid Sheff Wednesday. Despite beating them twice, they have big game players from a higher level that may have that X factor come the playoffs. So I think there is definitely merit to finishing in third.

After a fairly even first 25 when not much happened MK score the 2 easiest goals they'll ever score in 2 minutes.

Derek Adams teams must be so hard to watch. Just the 88% possession so far in opening 20 mins for us. Should be 2/3 up already.

I'm barely even following tonight's game - I knew we were going to get a pasting. I don't think we've ever turned up at MK.

Cheltenham Twitter is truly something to behold when we're losing mind.

This has been the most ludicrous half I have ever seen. 87% possession. Numerous chances. 1 slack back pass and 1 down. Jeez

We've played pretty well on the whole, though I'm sure that's partly down to MK sitting on their lead. 3 chances 3 goals for them, scoreline definitely a bit harsh.

If only Aaron Ramsey could finish..

Bolton’s possession stats were ridiculous, 80% and only scoring one goal in the 94th minute. Football is mad sometimes.

Deserved that late goal at least. They should have had a red card first half for 2 yellows. Even Morecambe knew it as they subbed him at half time. Tbf Morecambe should have had a penalty in the second half that wasn’t given as well. 80% possession, 22 shots and 13 corners to 4 shots and 1 corner. Masters of our own downfall. Crazy. That was a must win game anyway and we didn’t so… I reckon that’s our season over. I do fancy us for a good playoff push next season. 2 months of crippling injuries cost us before Xmas this season but the 7 additions in Jan have made us look a hell of a lot stronger. As long as we don’t really lose anyone in the summer and add 1 or 2 more we’ll be in contention.

It was so hard to watch mate. It was like a training game at times. And even their physio came on and deliberately left his bag on the pitch to waste time. They had 10 men in their own box most of the game. We missed 3/4 absolutely clear cut chances first half. It’s cost us a playoff chance anyway

2 routine home wins against Morecambe and Wimbledon leaves us in the playoffs with 2 games in hand on some of the teams around us. Big game at Bolton on Saturday.

What a killer goal that was for Morecambe to concede! Jesus, that will hurt them big time.

Another good win and probably should have won by a few more. Still can't move up the table though as everyone above us is winning all the time.

After scoring just 30 goals in our first 27 league games, we've now scored 23 in 8. It's been a remarkable turnaround and has fully vindicated the Cowleys' January striker overhaul. The players are buzzing and so are the fans.

The big test starts Saturday at Ipswich, who murdered us 4-0 at Fratton back in October. Followed by a trip to Plymouth on Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing if we're the real deal or not.

We never got out of second gear tonight. Credit to Cheltenham I saw glimpses of why they’ve been on a good run, but I think our defence were more than a match for them and once we went 2-0 up we just went through the motions more than anything.

I’m delighted for Troy Parrott. He’s been really frustrated at himself for going so long without a goal and you could see what both of them tonight meant to both him and the rest of the team.

Haha, I didn.t say that, it was your good mate Masi, in any case bizarre that Blackburn were singled out as they have only scored twice in their last 10 games and went a club record 600 and odd minutes without a goal recently. Hardly evidence of a particularly strong strike force,

We're mid table and there's nothing in this division as good as Riis or Archer. Bizarre claim.

Archer looks a hell of prospect, got a sack full of goals for villa before joining you, looks a lot more likely to make it than the two we have on loan from Swansea...

Nothing to play for so we're just enjoying having him here, and praying for a miracle that we can somehow re-loan him next year.

As we are serial losers of play offs it doesn’t matter where you finish, however if we are your final opponents then you will enjoy your day because we never win them.
