The start of a massive few days for us playing the two teams directly above and below us in the table.

I predict Tuesday's game won't be a classic, with both teams nervous and not wanting to lose.

A poor 1-1.

Play like we did Saturday and we should win this but we put a lot in playing at that tempo so won’t be easy.

Yeovil at their place were the worst side I’ve seen us play in a league game in the 20 years I have been going, literally should of been 8-0 despite us playing six defensive players! But expect them to be far better this time.

Big conundrum, does Pope who was rested with a slight knock come back in or does Miller Boy after his two goals remain? Or play both?

Hopefully we put in the level of performance we have the last two games where we have literally played 100mph in your face football and the fitness levels hold out.

Saturdays win makes it more must not lose than must win but three points here would have us a long way towards safety.

2-1 Miller and Worrall

Play like Saturday and we will win. Got to keep Miller, and if Pope is fit he would be an option on the bench for the last 20. A win here coupled with losses for Macc and Notts should more or less see us safe.

Im going for a 2-0 win with Worrall and Miller on the scoresheet.

I’m hoping we can do you both a favour and win at Macclesfield tomorrow night, although I wouldn’t bank on it!

Im hoping you do too, and I think Macc might be feeling the pressure after the weekends results.

The pressure is on them for sure, which can go one of two ways. Hopefully they will crumble and we can get three points.

If we put in a performance like we did at Northampton then we’ll be lucky to get anything, so hoping we respond with a decent display and that should mean we will be too good for them.

Will be a very difficult game I expect. Hopefully we can maintain the same standards as the last couple of games but this will be different in that Mansfield came to VP looking to try and win whereas I expect Yeovil will look to keep things tight like Morecambe did. How we respond to that will be crucial.

Looks like Pope will be out again though would start with Miller in any case, would have been nice to have Pope as an impact sub off the bench which going forward will increasingly become his role I feel. Am certainly not writing Pope off completely but with Miller in the team we can do certain things we can't with Pope, the first goal on Saturday being a case in point.

Yeah Popey isn’t beating the offside trap and running 30 yards before rounding the keeper in fairness. He got in that position against Notts at VP last season and Dan Jones gained about 20 yards to catch him!

Assume Yeovil will look for a point and maybe nick one on the break so need to be patient. One where we maybe could do with Pope to try and bully their back line.

Would be typical Vale to put a shitter in after Saturday but hoping we match the standards we’ve set in the last two games and can edge into a position where safety looks far more likely than relegation which two weeks ago would have been unlikely.

Some doubt if this will be on after torrential rain this morning. It would be just our luck as it's a chance to gain some momentum.

Hope they decide early enough for the Yeovil fans if so. Awful experience going to Exeter and Accy to be called off late.

At dinner time i expected this to be off. We are always one of the worst offenders with Accrington for the crappest pitch.

Vital game, again a must not lose game but the onus is on us to take the game to Yeovil.
Looked like they put up a decent show at Lincoln the other night, though Lincoln seem to have hit the buffers with their home form up till then.

Surely an unchanged team , just hoping it isn't a case of ' After the Lord Mayors show '

I notice a minutes applause for Phil Simic on 64 minutes, knew him to say ay up to no more but a tragedy he was in such a dark place. RIP Fella

Deserved goal for Vale, really grown into the game and some of the build up play been very nice so far.

Really good first half from Vale, played some lovely football at times and Yeovil struggled to cope with the tempo. If being picky should at least have had a second goal.

Yeah should be out of sight which is the only worry but Yeovil look all over the place at the back and our tempo and passing game is carving them open. Next goal crucial, keep this up and get it and we should get the result.

3-0 game over, horrible defending from Yeovil.

Excellent from Vale tonight though, backed up Saturday perfectly.

Massive result, we look a totally different animal these past three games. 7 points on from looking dead and buried and things look much better for us.

Yeovil were dire again and don’t look as though they have enough to be honest. They will be praying Notts and Macc can’t catch them I think judging on that.

Two more wins will do it I think, maybe even one.

Think 4 more points for Vale should be enough I reckon baring in mind our goal difference is a lot better than the bottom two. Brilliant result tonight, would have been real easy and all too like Vale to put in a stinker of a performance tonight but instead put in a dominant performance. Gives us some wriggle room as well with a very hard game on Saturday at Swindon where traditionally we struggle.

That Conlon goal.... backheel flick by Hanno and boom!

Askey seems to have finally found the formula.

Like Saturday, I thoroughly enjoyed watching us tonight. Last two games has been like watching a different side. We look like we have a purpose and are energised throughout.

Midfield three suddenly look like they can dictate the game and get us ticking.

Onwards and upwards hopefully!

As I said drop Kay and we will be better as we can move it around quicker in the middle.

Not only that Luke Joyce now looks a totally different player pinging the ball around... as he did against us last season which prompted us to sign him in the first place.

Yeovil have looked absolutely dross both times against us and we’ve done them 3-0 twice yet they actually don’t have a bad goal difference or defensive record! On both occasions they arguably got away with only 3 too.

Hopefully we can now go to our bogey ground and all but end our drop fears at the weekend. That would make a perfect week. Big ask though but playing like this who knows.

Very enjoyable again, not just the win but the passing and moving.
Won 3-0 but by God the ref and in particular the Lorne street linesman were absolutely diabolical. Two comedians trying to outdo each other.

Is it Showunmi at the back ? The green haired Peter Crouch , how on Earth is that lad a professional footballer.
Yeovil were really really bad and if I was one of the 76 as well as deserving a medal you deserve refunding by the players.

Worral is playing superbly and sadly for Gibbons him and Clark are forging a great understanding.

Swindon usually means a defeat but miracles happen we are capable of a point I'd say.

Well done to Askey for playing attacking unfrightened football

Seen a couple of replays of it posted on Twitter, never even noticed that little flick from Hannant to set it up for him previously. If that isn't goal of the season I don't know what is.

Well worth the tenner on iFollow that was. Really enjoyed the football we've played in the last three games and I think Askey has to take a great deal of credit for that.

Another win, and it feels like Askey is finally having an effect, and turning us into a decent football team. The second goal was worth the admission alone. Yeovil were poor and may need to look over their shoulder if one of the bottom two go on a good run.

Sowumni is a very good player and we were lucky not to lose him to a higher club last summer. It was his second game back after several months out injured and he's not ready yet, another bad managerial decision.
