Not only one who is quite happy when they can to whack 3pm matches on when other leagues are playing they are now pushing for even more Premiership games to be shown on TV. It is currently at 41%

If they got their way I think they'd like Sat 3pm games shown live each week.

They can stick Real Madrid v Barca on at 3pm on a saturday and I will still go to Sixfields to watch us play Accrington etc. I have always wondered how many 'casual' fans there are at this level.

English games there was a ban where it was illegal to show games at 3pm on Saturday. They are not looking to lift the ban so they can do it.

i cannot find the link, but it was something on BBC the other day that Virgin Media are pushing hard to allow more than 41% premiership matches (that is limit and cannot be broken) to be shown live.

it'll mean 2-3 matches on sat, 2-3 matches on sun, matches mon-fri.....next they'd push for 3pm sat live games etc, etc.....more money flooding into the top flight.

for all trying to end the sky monopoly was supposed to help all its done is frankly up the prices for fans and put so much football on tv at present going to live Lower League matches is becomming secondary to just sitting at home,

Does anybody know how many League 2 matches are picked for live coverage every month? I haven't had the dis/pleasure of watching one yet, but tbh, the only TV games that I knew were going to be shown were ours against Oxford and the Luton-Plymouth one.

Although, Beardy Branson's brands seem to always cry foul whenever they're second best. The feud between Virgin Atlantic and British Airways has been running for over 25 years.

You can already watch live 3pm matches on setanta sports 1 ......... or live streams,cant see it affecting attendances that much really. only the Prem league ones maybe.
