Just seen that the last (and only time) time we won at Walsall in the league was 1897!!!

Certainly time to set that record straight.

Following on from our last 45 minutes in the league against Port Vale I'm fairly confident we might finally end that hoodoo.

Town to win 1-0 with a late goal from sub Max Wright.

Seen us draw there 0-0, but also witnessed some shockers, both at their old and new ground. Time to win there again, sadly I will be on a ship near 'Dogger Bank' on Saturday!

If that 0-0 was a night match in about 97 I was there and it was the first known sighting, and tasting of, the Balti Pie. At least as far as I'm concerned it was, and probably for any Town fan there that night who indulged.

If Grimsby score they win. We look very tight at the back and teams tend to do nothing against us, but score from penalties, the odd set piece or an unforced error. The problem is going forward, we have absolutely nothing and start every single game with effectively 8 defenders/defensive players on the pitch.

Lots of faith in DC to get it right and he will need time, but for now - we aren’t very good. Perhaps today will be the day it clicks.

Looks like an attacking line up for us with 4 forwards starting.

Unacceptably bad defeat. Not long before it turns sour for DC now. I’m all for him, but 6 wins in 36, a decent budget and this is what we are producing, patience is already thin on the ground.

2 quality forwards in before Tuesday, or I fear for the conference.

Pretty comfortable in the end, thought we played alright but not spectacular. Poor soft goal from a cross conceded again, but plenty of time to play. We need to stop giving away these soft goals, averaged a goal a game conceded, luckily averaging two goals a game in scoring.

Walsall were alright but lacked that something in the final third. Was never a penalty for our third, laughed when the ref gave it.

Hmm, not sure about that, sure he doesn’t use hands or anything but he makes absolutely no effort to win the ball and he comes in hard.

Not a pen for me, would be pissed off if that got given against us although League 2 refs do give those ones quite often.

Actually after watching it again he proper does barge him over so I do think it was a pen now.

It's just a shoulder barge, like you said earlier I'd be annoyed if that was given against us.

No chance. He took him out. Defo pen. Anywhere else on the pitch that is a foul so why not in the penalty area.
