As none of you miserable bastards are going to do it, I'd like to welcome Blackpool to your forum for their one season stay. I'm really quite busy these days, and it doesn't seem the L1 Relegation thread is open yet, but I'd be grateful if someone could kindly add Blackpool to that thread in due course. Certainly before the first week in August anyway.

For those of you unaware of Blackpool's meteoric disappearance from the upper echelons of the football pyramid (or "somewhere else" as they call it in Blackpool), I'd recommend you quickly acquaint yourselves with their squad for next season.

Please do give a nod of appreciation to Blackpool as they pass on through the division.

Decent away day but do think they will do a Yeovil personally, seem to be in mega freefall and no sign of the end of their off the field troubles. Shame as enjoyed their fairytale story into the Premiership.

At least they will have a couple of derbys to look forward too.

A mate described it as like freefall bungee jumping. It's a rather elegant swan-like nose dive into the abyss. Or "the north" as we call it here.

And Blackpool fans said they would never in their lifetime be in the same league as Fleetwood :) :)

Won't be going to Bloomfield Road under the current situation, starve them out.

Instantly the best player in their squad, he'll probably be their highest earner this season.

Failed a trial at Oldham a few months back.

8 quid a week, and a free hot chip butty after every home game.

Is that what the Blackpool fans get with their season tickets this year?

Doesn't matter. No parachute payments anymore and unless Karl sells up, they'll be lucky to average 5k next season and thats with cheap STs. No guaranteed sky money, no transfers, no PL payments, no fan income. Probably going to go into next season in the same manner as they did this one, no players, no staff, maybe even no manger. How are they even going to compete next season? Only way they'll do that is if the owners invest and there is little or no evidence of that happening anytime soon. They'll end up with another ten-a-penny round the block manager who is just desperate to start earning again.

Lee Clark saying he didn't realise how deep-seated the problems behind the scenes were is completel bullshit. He's just trying to justify the relegation on his CV. Should have looked into it before blindly accepting the job you tool.

I was talking to a mate about this the other day, Oyston will give them a budget but with no additional season ticket money coming in and no saleable assets it could well be the smallest in the league now Yeovil have gone. Going to be another entertaining summer but unfortunately we'll probably be here with them.

Worried his cock up at Millwall means he wont get many better offers? False sense of loyalty? Or maybe like Hill at Rochdale theres just certain clubs he can do well at, with Blackpool being one?

Would be a good appointment for them and could work Imo

Is Ian Holloway mad? Is water wet? To be fair, he is possibly one of the few people who could actually return some sensibility to that team. Probably wouldn't work, but he'd be the best option they could hope to get.
