Stopping a fight on the terraces.

Ryman play-off final 2008, Staines v AFC Wimbledon. One of there's and one of ours were facing each other in a 'hold me back lads' way. They were two big blokes and me and my then 18 year old daughter stepped in between them. My daughter dealt with the Staines supporter and I dealt with ours. After what seemed like ages of talking to the bloke, trying to calm him down, we scored the winning goal* (which I didn't see) and he ran off celebrating. We now both steward at football - me for AFC Wimbledon and her all over Scotland where she now lives.

No chance. She's 5'7" and built like a brick outhouse. Takes after her mum on a somewhat larger scale.

She wasn't per chance, on duty at last season's Scottish Cup Final where the Hibs fans invaded the pitch ?

Sitting in the Bob Bank at Ninian Park whilst watching Wales when the obligatory "stand up if you're not a Jack" starts doing the rounds.

Car crash about 13 years ago. Overtaking some dick who decided to speed up to prevent what was a perfectly safe overtaking maneuverer. Unfortunately, instead of doing the sensible thing and pulling back in, I did an even more dickish thing and sped up to get past him. This resulted in a loss of control as it was wet, hitting the curb doing about 70, flipping the car 4-5 time and ending up on the roof being held up by the seat belt. Fortunately, no one else was involved and the guy in the other car sped up and fucked off. Minor injuries but my life literally did flash before my eyes, it could have been far worse. Done for dangerous driving, tried to cop a plea for careless driving but the CPS refused. Couldn't argue too much as it was a fucking stupid thing to do. Banned for a year, £1500 fine and had to retake my test, including a theory test which didn't exist when I originally passed my test in the late 80s. It completely changed the way I behave in a car once I was back behind the wheel.

I’ll have to check, but I think she was.
