Wigan 3-2 Gillingham

Gillingham were awful second half and Wigan awful first half. Once Wigan went more direct they were better and probably deserved the win.

Gills totally ran out of gas in the 2nd half. They really should have had that wrapped up, the equaliser killed them. Can't be making gaffes like that.

Disappointed after cruising the first half, poor from Nelson for their equaliser but he has saved us a few points this season so can't really be too hard on him, Morgan should never have been allowed so much space for that header, our inability to shut out our promotion rivals doesn't bode well for any play off campaign

first half you had one shot on target we had 2 or 3 clear chances in that first half...that dack is decent but hes no yanic wildschut

It's deja vu from the Walsall game, only difference being that I feel Walsall deserved their win. Wigan were there for the taking, and had Dack taken his chance early in the second half we probably would've cruised home. 3 fucking appalling goals to gift away as well.

Yes you had a couple of chances in the first half but our defence looked comfortable dealing with them, the substitutes changed the game for me, ours made us weaker whilst yours made your stronger, I think wigan will start to reel the top 4 in now

I think a draw would of been about right but i do feel for the gills fans after that..

They've been flying of late and have one of the best forwards in the league in Washington. Would be surprised if they didn't challenge.

Crazy game. First half we were in control without playing that well, dominated possession but struggled to create until the 20th minute when somehow from 3 yards out Morgan failed to score, harder to miss. As we're pushing to try and create we lose the ball and a superb ball from Dack and a well taken finish and Samuel puts Gillingham in front against the run of play. We then miss two more golden opportunities inside the 6 yard box, criminal finish as again both were unmarked. 3 absolute gilt edge chances that should have all been put away and despite lacking in tempo and being average we didn't deserve to be 1-0 down.

Second half for the opening 8 minutes Gillingham were outstanding and scored another well taken goal, converting 2 out of 3 chances whilst we missed 3 arguably easier ones. Then with the subs it gives us a bit more movement and strength as Gillingham had bullied us before that and we marked Dack out of it who had been excellent for the Gills and the last 35 minutes bar the Dack chance were he went 1 and 1, was total domination from Wigan and had a much higher tempo. Why can't we play at that tempo from the off?

Harsh to lose in such a manner but given the amount of clear chances both teams had we thoroughly deserved that win, apart from the 8 minute spell at the start of the second half Gillingham didn't offer much, didn't have much possession and created little. I'd be concerned at losing Dack if I was a Gillingham fan though, did everything, first half he tracked back well and shielded the back 4 well, then when Gillingham won the ball he was darting forward and trying to make things happen, he was everywhere, but seems to be relied on too much.

They score a hell of a lot of goals, whilst they do have a leaky defence they'll be top 6 due to their fire power. Their defence however will cost them a top 2 challenge.

Pretty much the same as us really.

The double substitution was the catalyst. We probably scored our 2nd goal too early in hindsight.

Gutted about the result, but it's no disgrace to lose to wigan away, hopefully we bounce back next week and start another run of wins
