Back to a boring thread title...the joys.

These sides have little in common, bar Angelo Balanta who played for Wycombe in 2008 - around the same time he last played for us. Also, we are the only teams to experience defeat to Newport this season :shut:

Yet another difficult away game for us. It'd be disappointing if we were to lose this one too, we need to keep in touch with the play-off pack. Wycombe will be looking to bounce back from their defeat too, and they'll fancy themselves with home advantage.

Hopefully Jabo is fit for the weekend, we've missed his clinical nature in the opposition box. Miller is suspended too, so expect McQueen to return, and Raynes might be back from injury.

I can see another defeat in all honesty, hope I'm wrong though.

Hmm I'm in 2 minds.

I thought we got it spot on in the first half yesterday so should be capable of getting a result. But Wycombe are on a poor run, so we know what that means!

I'll decide my prediction later in the week. Jabo being back would be a huge boost, although Wyke notching yesterday could be the start of him going on a decent run of form.

We're a bit shit at home at the best of times, and this isn't the best of times frankly.

That said, I would hope for some sort of reaction from the players after a series of unimpressive results. Maybe we can scrape a draw vs the mighty Curlisle?

Curlisle will return this weekend. Wacky formation, strange team choice and a narrow win for us. Viva Keith Curle.

We need to go back to 4-4-2 and play players in their proper position. On tuesday we had a striker on the wing and a winger in central midfield fuck knows what Ainsworth thought that would do. Ugwu should be dropped wirth Hayes and Thompson up front and give Sellers a start on the left wing.

RED ARMY!

Don't mind the red, but the 2 Virgin sponsors are a bit tinpot. Presumably a training shirt.

Hopefully we put in a good performance and get the 3 points. Would be delighted if Jabo was fit, but I think it's unlikely.
4-5-1 (4-3-3)
Gillespie

McQueen
Atkinson
Raynes (if he's fit, Troy otherwise)
Gillesphey

Gilliead
Joyce
Hery
Dicker
Asamoah

Hope

Pretty harsh by Wycombe to refuse to wear their away kit and make us go through the hassle and cost of sorting this out?

Why should we wear our away kit when we're at home? And people call us tinpot!

Why

should we wear our away kit when we're playing at home?
It's happened before to other teams, just seems slightly off that we'd have to pay for kits to be done just because you don't want to play in your away kit. I'd say the same thing had we done it to you, really don't see much difference between playing in home or away kits and certainly not enough to make the other team go out and get a new one.

Wycombe are perfectly entitled to wear their home kit. It's not their problem really. It's our fault. When designing kits at the start of the season, surely someone has to look at the home colours of opposing teams. It's incompetence.

But if they ever want help off us for anything, it won't come.

Yeah this is what I'm getting at, I figured there'd be some sympathy from a fellow League 2 club but clearly not. I don't see a difference between home and away kits personally, plus I thought Wycombe did better in away games in general so maybe they should've jumped at the opportunity...

I think it's just a conspiracy by your club's marketing department to sell more EXCLUSIVE shirts...

A win today would be nice, but it could go either way.
Fancy Hope to score, though.

I never run from a fight especially if its against someone who deserves a roughing up.

I just realised how shit Wycombe are doing at the moment, gonna be even worse after today, I gurantee it.

At last Ainsworth has gone back to 4-4-2 today. GK Matt Ingram misses out through injury.

Fuck off, Joyce has been sent off for what sounded like a fair tackle.

Our commentators are absolutely livid. Hayes waving Joyce off as he gets sent off as well, what a classy player. Wycombe are a horrible team.

Nothing to lose here now, if we get beat Curle can put it down to the horrendous decision and if we get anything it'll be a bonus.

Zero shots on goal for either side. Must be a quality game.
