Huge game Tuesday night for two teams who find themselves at the wrong end of the League 2 table.

Off-field problems persist for both Morcambe and Orient, whilst on the pitch things look a little rosier for Morecambe; unbeaten in the league this calendar year and impressive points picked up against high-flyers Carlisle and Doncaster in recent outings.

Anyone reading this forum will no doubt be familiar with Orient's sorry tale this season, and everyone's surely bored to tears by it all, so I'll just give a very quick summary of what's gone on in the last week at the club:

- Manager no. 4 of the season steps in (and manager no. 10 since 2014!) and promotes the youth team back staff to first team roles, due to a complete lack of funds, communication and support from upstairs.
- Madcap Italian owner freezes out player of the season and first team goalkeeper Alex Cisak for...reasons (note: reasons may not make any logical sense whatsoever).
- We signed Stevenage's 5th choice striker.

Orient have also lost 5 on the bounce in the league, conceding 13 times and only finding the back of the net on 3 occasions.

Despite all that doom and gloom, I think this is a nailed on draw, though an away win wouldn't be a surprise to anyone I'm sure.

All the best to Morecambe and their off-field troubles.

I sense that in years to come we'll be able to make a good drinking game where you name a person and people have to guess whether that person managed Leyton Orient or Notts County during 2016/17. There's still time left i think for someone to achieve the feat of managing both.

I was having a conversation with someone on Saturday who reckoned that there are worse teams than Orient.

Taking into consideration tonight's line up - name me them.

What a goal from Morecambe's no. 7 Mullin. Sensational strike. Completely against the run, and especially surprising as he has been comfortably the worst player on the pitch this evening. Nothing you can do about those goals though.

Looks like another nail in the Orient coffin.

We actually played some really nice football, it was enjoyed able to watch - mainly in the first half.

But, we ultimately paid for our inexperienced front line who failed to take the chances we and openings we had in the first half.

Morecambe upped their game in the second half, they didn't create too much themselves but won the game with a well taken goal.

If we go down playing the way we have done in our last two games, I'll take that - Better than lumping it long aimlessly like we have we'd been doing under Edwards.

Only cristicism of Webb - Two subs in the 90th minute - pointless and no time for an impact.

But yes, not looking good. But this has been coming sadly.

Can't even criticise them for once. Great effort, comfortably the better side and lost to an absolute peach of a goal.

Thing is, if you go into games with 5 youth team players in the side - including, crucially, the two strikers - you can't win games at this level, no matter how well you play between the boxes. Not enough strength or know how.

Still, yet another away side that has come to E10, done fuck all, and left with all three points. Boringly predictable.
