So, after finally getting shot of master tactician Brown, we go into this weekends game with Morgan and Kelly temporarily in charge. This will either show us that they had no part in deciding tactics or they were just a component of the problem.

Let's hope we play full backs at full back, wingers on the wing and midfielders in midfield for a start. Make no mistake, last weekend was as bad as I've seen in 25 years + of going (bear in mind we once fielded 2 guys from Chasetown). I believe there are two or three decentish footballers in there, but when you haven't got a clue where you are meant to be playing it does make things difficult.

We've got to start picking up points to get away from the bottom of the table. Once you are there it is difficult to get out and relegation to non-league would be the end of the club.

You don't need amazing players in this league. As long as you are organised and everybody knows and does their job, you can win games by default. We just need to become hard to beat first and foremost and then try and create and score more goals. We've let so many soft goals in it's ridiculous.

Yeovil look like they are a mixed bag, some good results interspersed with some garbage. You'd expect them to be down near the bottom based on recent seasons but we're such a soft touch that we love giving these teams a boost.

I still think we'll lose Saturday as the club is all over the place and morale must be very low. Add to the fact that the two temporary managers must know that they're unlikely to be at the club in the long term.

Need to win this or we will be getting caught adrift ahead of a new manager coming in, we can certainly go here and get a result but we need to see some organisation and improvement from the players.

Good players totally disorganised under Brown so lets hope Ned and Morgan have at least addressed some of that.

I'm hoping we can get a much-needed win and Vale won't have a new manager bounce yet.

In a tremendous display of spin Darren Way has been at pains to point out this is our best start at home in 10 seasons whilst completely ignoring the fact we're on our worst away sequence in 33 years.

It's a massive boost to have Olomola back, he's been fantastic so far and we've missed him in the last couple of games.

3-2 to us I reckon.

Gibbons makes his debut, big game for him as a youth prodigy.

Kay back in FFS.

Seems a 3-5-2 so let’s see how we go. May be the same coaching as under Brown but at least two strikers on the bench this week!

Pinch me someone. Not only have we scored, but it's a Pope goal as predicted.

Sounds a much improved performance too and could of had a couple more. Can we now put a rare decent performance in both halves of a game?

Get in! It sounds like both teams are appallingly bad so a draw is probably the right result. Still time though.

Attendance 2614. There is a possibility our ladies team will beat that in their first WSL1 game of the season tomorrow.

Red Card for our youth debutant. Our season summed up in one half.

Sounds like we should of won that comfortable and gifted them a point with a keeper howler but improvement all the same and glad we saw the end with ten men out.

Frustrating

We scored, we didn't lose and we are out of the bottom two. I'll take that.

A positive and judging by comments we looked interested and relatively organised for once. Something to build on.

What did I say about Roos --- You were warned.

Dreadful error, assumed his failure to catch anything last week was first game nerves but jesus. May as well give Booty a go in goal.

Frustrating as sounds like we should of comfortably seen out the three points. Paying massively for not sorting this keeper issue out. Had Chris Neal and Jak Alnwick two top lower league keepers and let Neal go because of Alnwick. He went to Rangers and since January off the top of my head:

Boot
Hornby
Roos
Lainton - only decent keeper who’s always injured
Mehmet
Fazan

Probably a couple I’ve forgotten about too!

Not sorted it and costing us points big time. If Rob was fit it wouldn’t be a big issue but we signed him knowing he can’t play two games without being out for weeks!

Hornby wasn’t the answer really as he let a few errors occur. Rooted to his line against Crewe for the winner, allowed a mishit cross to somehow magically go through him against Luton and way off position for a couple of the Wycombe goals.

Hoped this guy would be the answer but cost us a deserved win yesterday by all accounts.

1-1 Pope to finally get a goal.

At the ground he scored his last goal for the Vale before leaving us ironically. Hopefully it will boost his confidence to get the goal. Seemed to not be going for him and could see in his dejected performances off late. Do him the world of good.

Shockingly bad in a game we should have been looking to win. Darren Way's post-match interview once again was utter drivel. He talks more rubbish than any manager i've ever heard. Ever. But he won't get the sack.
