Home game for me, will definitely be there. Anyone else coming up? Re the game, neither of us can really afford to lose, so I'd say a draw seems fairly likely. 0-0 with circa 6-700 SWA?

I think I'm going, although it depends if the mother in law can still take my girlfriend out for the day, if not I'll be following on Twitter.

Probably be the same team as what started at Newport, although possibly ihiekwe coming back in if he's fit.
I'll go for 1-0 Tranmere, donnelly with the goal, 750 Tranmere fans.

This will be my first visit to Bootham crescent since 1989 when Tranmere came away with a 1-0 smash and grab, can't remember who scored but it was an ill tempered game with a couple of sendings off. Things got a bit hairy on the train on the way back when fighting broke out with Liverpool fans between Manchester Vic and St Helens stations.
Like York, it's a great day out, hope they stay up but not at our expense! Think 500 traveling fans would be respectable and think the game will end in a draw..

I'm going. Never seen Rovers play at Bootham Crescent, but have been once before, when York beat Man City 2-1 to consign the visitors to their lowest league position; mid-table in what is now L1. Rovers have sold all their advance tickets and I'd guess about 750-800 away fans will turn out.

Injury problems for Rovers with Danny Holmes a major doubt and Ihiekwe definitely unfit, so there's talk of a defensive loan. A few players, especially in the midfield have been below par, Molyneux may be down to being deployed in central midfield, but Power and Jennings haven't performed to their best in their preferred slots. However, I'm not expecting many changes apart from those enforced by injury.

The first game of the campaign was a draw, with Rovers grabbing a very late equaliser, in a match where York had stuck to a game plan and were probably the better side. Since then, managerial changes at both clubs. From the highlights of the midweek game with Luton, it looked like they played a less direct game than our last two opponents and that might make it easier for Rovers to show their better side. However, if the York boss has done his homework, they may adapt to a similar approach.

I would take a draw, but the Minstermen's disappointing home form has to end sometimes...

Can I pay on the day at the turn style or is this game all ticket for away fans?

Will be there for this one. I'll be surprised if we take more than 500, but fingers crossed! Proper 6 pointer.

Big game, but as Micky said in his pre-match, nobody gets relegated if they lose. Just hope the players show up, as we are good when they do but woeful when they don't. Yet another debutant tomorrow in the form of Harrison McGahey and he joins the 7 new signings from January in the search of cohesion and 'gelling'. When it clicks, it could be good but how long that takes is anyone's guess.

Due to the fact we have 24 draws between us, surely this is as nailed on a draw as there is? I'll go 1-1.

Outclassed, outfought, outsung. York won't be going down, but we are looking doomed. The most gutless Tranmere team I've ever seen. Fair play to York, it should've been 5-0.

That was completely embarrassing. 2-0 wasn't a fair reflection, Fonners was brilliant, otherwise it would have been 6. Micky hasn't has the best of weeks it's fair to say. Power should have been hauled off for Koumas at half time (imo), and our tactics were predictable and poor.

We got our old Wes Fletcher back today, tore Tranmere's centre backs apart. Huge win, going to be a nervy old relegation battle this one.

First half was fairly even until York scored, but from then in only one side in it and we were lucky to escape without a serious denting to our goal difference. Don't understand why we started the inexperienced McGahey ahead of Josh Thompson in defence.
I'd also have hauled Myrie-Williams off at h/t, with performances like that Baggie couldn't have done any worse. Kirby should have been put out wide when he came on and Donnelly moved into the centre. What will Micky Adams excuse be now that he can't blame the rubbish squad he inherited for our failings; over half of our side were players he brought in.
On the highlights of the Luton game, I reckon York will be safe. It was hard to tell how good they were today-the second goal was an excellent finish-because Rovers were so mediocre. Any more games like that an we're in real danger of going down.

Was pretty concerned when I saw your team, Myrie-Williams looked a cut above when he played against us twice for Port Vale a few seasons ago. Expected more from the likes of Power, Hume and Odejayi.

Disgraceful performance from Tranmere Rovers today! Bar OFW the players shouldn't pick a wage packet up this week. Worst performance of the season by a mile, cowards couldn't even face the visiting support at the end of the game.

Thank fuck I chose to have a day with the girlfriend instead, sounds like I missed a classic.

I'm actually starting to get worried now. Last month there was always the mind set 'we'll sort it out in January'. Now we have to work with what we've got, and I'm not sure if what we've got give a shit.

Yep, Fonners deservedly the only one we clapped off. Was highly depressing walking home with the York fans, too!
Cheltenham at the end of the month is simply must not lose, but knowing our record in 6 pointers...

Wasn't there, but sounded horrific. Lack of ability, lack of luck, lack of confidence can all be forgiven. But lack of effort and desire for the shirt cannot. Micky left them high and dry with a stupid formation and it turned out the way it did. Bitterly disappointing week that has left us right in it.

The only York players prior to the game I'd much memory of were your keeper, who I'd seen for Peterborough, Lowe who scored at PP and Sinclair who played poorly for Northampton against us. Fletcher took his goals well, but him aside, it was largely how York played as a team that impressed rather than any individual stand-out performances. Rovers by contrast were a collection of individuals not working as a unit and the manager has to accept some responsibility for that.

A very odd post-match comment from Micky Adams about York being there for the taking. Events showed that was clearly not the case, although if those were his pre-match instructions it might account for the casual way in which Rovers approached such a crucial game.
