Not going to do 1-24 but obviously Bolton, Derby, Portsmouth, Barnsley, Blackpool will be near the top and you'd expect Carlisle and Stevenage to struggle. I think Bristol Rovers and Lincoln will be dark horses. Other than that I expect it will be a lot tighter. No real stand out teams. I'd be pleased with 12th for us. Progress year on year.

Pompey to win it.
Runners up derby.
Play off winners Blackpool ( again )
We will finish 11th-14th.
Hopefully a cup run for some excitement although not been bottom for months will be a bonus.
Bottom 4 to go -
Carlisle
Stevenage
Fleetwood ( if it goes tits up tomorrow )
One dark horse from mid table..

I've not done a 24 yet, but I genuinely believe Exeter will drop this season.

I have no basis for this other than I don't rate Caldwell as a manager
Well this season will be a proper ‘Caldwell’ team so if we struggle it’s on him. Last season he had a free hit really as he inherited a full squad and did ok.

I think we will be fine but I won’t be able to say for sure until we get to the end of the window.

I think that's similar for us. Both teams didn't have the greatest second half of the season, so huge improvements required really. We've only really had one player that we might have wanted to keep in Wilson, but he hardly contributed last season. It seems like you've lost a few more key personnel, so starting from a lower base but you should have a few quid to spend.

We've made our decisions early on who we're going to sign but as always, we don't know how good they are until we've seen them play. Everyone was raving about signing Massey last summer but he was shite, so it's not always the ones that you think are going to be good.

Both clubs need at least 75% of their signings to be successful in order to stay away from relegation trouble.

I'll have a stab at this in a couple of weeks.

Can't say there's anyone I'm hugely concerned about this season i.e. an FGR, Crewe, Doncaster type and be absolutely stinking.

Likewise I’ll have a go at this in a couple of weeks once I’ve seen the majority of clubs transfer business.

One thing I will say, I’m surprised at the amount of posters that have put Stevenage in their bottom 4 predictions. They’ve done some solid business imo. As much as I can’t stand the bloke, fatty Evans is a good manager too. They’ll definitely stay up I think.

Good shout, i have more just gone on the Stevenage from previous seasons, big jump up to lge1

Will take a look at more of the least fancied clubs before i make my 1-24 final call

Not been impressed with anyones business at the top end bar Portsmouth
Ours is underwhelming up to now but i trust us to make a couple of statement signings before we kick off in August

Yes and they can be thankful he did, but his love is Rugby not football
Has said both teams have to run sustainable. The Stadium loses money and the football team generates little money.
Most big earners have now gone apart from Wyke and nobody would begrudge him getting looked after

Will be a young team next season and minus 8 will see them finish bottom half

So far only seven (7) full predictions (plus Masi 51 with his seven team nominations).
Derby champion favourite & Carlisle relegation favourite
Reading & Bristol R are only teams to appear in both sets of forecasts.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
This isn’t me trying to fully defend Carlisle who are most peoples favourites for relegation, but I genuinely think of the four promoted sides Carlisle are much harder to predict than the others.

The other 3 got up by having the best side, set up and balance etc etc, Carlisle on the whole went up because it was smashed with this enormous tsunami of energy and passion the moment Simpson arrived in the club which just swept up everything.

Changed the entire atmosphere and brought out this 100% passion filled hard working attitude within the squad which carried on right through to promotion, made average players a season previous good players, made young players develop quicker and loan players do very well and new signings blend in quicker.

If that tsunami still smashes into the new season I can see Carlisle starting off best of the 4 clubs, of course if that passion based surge ends at any point it’s going to be tough.

Would not surprise me seeing Carlisle as a side in top 6 come Christmas the. Collapse second half of season. Start of season is crucial for Carlisle this season.

Orient and Northampton will stay up for me but Carlisle will struggle. I won't put my prediction for relegation yet as there are teams still to do some very important business (us and Port Vale for example seem to have a good defence/midfield but currently lack strikers).

Will have a go at this but while I’ve got some idea of who the top six might be with a fair wind plus a couple of fliers thrown in the rest of the league I think is either quite close or question marks outstanding (ourselves to name one). Cop-out but will do it a few days before it starts once know what other business has been done.

I think we may stay up due to being able to grind out wins with defensive solidarity. That being said if we dont make several additions in forward positions over the remainder of the window then its another one season wonder in League 1 for us sadly.

Of course. That bastion of foresight and knowledge 4-4-2 magazine.
Means fuck all. Might as well ask someone in the bookies.
That have put port vale finish bottom 4 so there fans will start moaning about that next.
