Well this is gonna be tough. I'm glad we're in a position now where there's less pressure on us. Even if we lose, it's not the end of the world and we can happily take a point imo. Be hilarious if we win and then against Barnsley on Saturday and suddenly be just about top 6 though!

I think we could well lose this but we're looking better at the back (albeit I fancy City will pose us different sorts of problems than Blackburn, Cardiff, Ipswich) so at least we go into games knowing scoring just 1 might even get us a win these days! Not sure if Bridcutt will be fit, and apparently Phillips played well on Saturday but I'd still rather have the skipper in down there.

Green

Ayling Bartley Jansson Taylor

O'Kane Bridcutt/Phillips

Sacko Hernandez Dallas

Wood
Watch out Tammy :hesk:

lol jk he'll definitely score.

2-1 City.

The annual loss to Leeds United, I'm just annoyed that it's come so soon after hammering Fulham on their own turf, would've been nice to gain some momentum.

Fielding
Little, Flint, Magnusson, Bryan;
O'Neil, Reid;
Paterson, Tomlin, O'Dowda;
Abraham.
City 1-4 Leeds. Abraham with ours, Wood hat-trick and Hernandez for Leeds.

How many you bringing down? Hopefully we'll exceed 20k again, but not holding my breath with the state of the ticketing system currently.

We're certainly not going to score 4 goals ffs :lol: Chris Wood has also only scored more than one goal in a game once for us (which actually makes his goalscoring record more impressive).

Chris wood bound to score against us tomorrow, wasn't great for us but seems to have done well since. Tammy should play tomorrow which will be a boost. Ayling should get a good reception too, always gave 110% here.

I'll predict 2-1 city.

Wouldn't surprise me. May as well start at 1-1, more than likely that Abraham and Wood will score. We're not great at the back either, certainly not our strong point.

Strange to expect a win against a team we never beat, but solid a 2-0.

Looking at the teams, the major difference is obviously Abraham v Wood so it might be closer if the former is injured.

I'm sure we will be targeting Ayling's defensive skills but hope he gets a great reception.

Agree with the last part.
It seems we scouted Fulham and knew how their full backs liked to bomb forward and exploited that, and we all know how much Ayling likes to go walkabout. He's a good defender, but we could potentially make him their weak point against us.

Chris Wood's been one of the league's most in form strikers since towards the end of last year to be fair. Obviously Abraham is flying and a huge threat but I still think we have a fair chance going forward if your defence isn't your strong suit.

Ayling's side will probably be the way to go for you as Sacko will play on the right as well...Taylor and Dallas are a more secure defensive duo down the opposite flank.

He'll definitely score and you'll definitely score more than one. Can't be arsed with this fixture, it's a write-off every single year.

Got to fancy us to win after the weekend. Really look forward to games these days, we really are a joy to watch. Well in a half of a game anyway.........
Have Leeds sold out? I can't see anything anywhere about it?

Interesting to see we've averaged the most shots per game out of anyone in the championship so far. Hopefully that carries on.

2-0

Oh, and JJH don't leave early if we are 2 down.

Can't help but feel we've got a bit of an opportunity coming up. We've had quite a tough start fixture wise and done well, and now our next 5 games are:

Leeds (H)
Forest (H)
Cardiff (A)
QPR (A)
Blackburn (H)

You look at that and think there's points for the taking, and we could really push on up the table

The fans of those clubs will be saying the same thing about us.
Lots of other fans still see us as one of the lower end teams.

If they do, they clearly haven't watched much football this season and need to pay more attention. You're going top 6 this year.

Oh of course. But that's eminently a winnable set of fixtures that you'd look at and think we've got a great chance of stringing together a few results in. And when you look at the league table, that could leave us in a very nice position

I think we're still a bit defensively frail to be making top 6, but I can see us around 8th-10th. And if Abraham keeps banging in the goals who knows?

Think this could be a really good game of football tonight, Leeds seem to have picked up themselves the last few weeks. Looking forward to it.

I don't think we will be, top 10 perhaps.
Lots of Villa fans on their forum were pretty disrespectful of us after we ended up with what was a comfortable win, and more recently after Saturday there were lots on the Fulham forum saying along the lines of "we should be beating the likes of Bristol City"

Not that bothered about it tbh, as its what happens on the pitch that matters. But I think that on the whole we are seen as a bottom half side who have just had a good start.

Just think it's a thing with 'one club' forums to be honest. Just had a glance at Wigan's forum and they reckon Wolves at home is an easy 3 points for them to kick start their season...

Purely the reason I avoid those forums, full of deluded biased twats who think they are the best team(s) in the world, makes for boring reading material.

Harsh on us by all accounts but at the end of the day have to be better in the final third. No surprise we concede when Jansson is forced off :lol:

Maybe harsh on Leeds but given the amount of luck you've had against us in recent years, I dont think there can be any complaints! A really good 3 points against a strong side.. Up to 5th..somebody pass me the valium.

10 games in and in the play offs, not sure how many of us would have thought we'd be doing this well! Long may it continue.

10 goals scored in 10 games just isn't good enough...especially when you only have one player scoring the goals. We haven't had consistent goals from midfield in years. Very frustrating. Need others to chip in.

Bit harsh on Leeds that, not that I'm complaining!
Thought Bryan had his worst game of the season, got caught out a lot down that side.
