I'm sure this will be a well attended game, we needed the win in midweek even though we may not have deserved it.
I sincerely hope we do not revert to one up front.
Tight game, I will go 1-0 City

Yep I hope this will be around the 4,500 attendance mark. Huge game for both teams, we win and we’ve got a healthy lead over Swindon but if we lose then it’s going to be very tight indeed.

Need to keep tabs on Richards who seems to be doing well there. Tisdale says both Brown and TAH are 50/50 for the game and with Moore-Taylor out for the season it probably means another patched up back 4. Having said that, Storey has looked very capable and Croll is also fit so we do have decent cover there. Just don’t play Seaborne.

I also think this will be close but will stick my neck out and say we will nick it 2-1. Stockley double and Richards for Swindon.

Really difficult game to predict. I said in another thread that (in my eyes) Exeter were the best side to visit the CG this season and they look to have turned some ropey form around with a win at Vale Park midweek.

I think the appointment of Brown has instilled new belief in the side and (apparently) we were decent at Cambridge winning 3-1.

Never confident predicting Swindon victories but I have a sneaking suspicion our old men will fire us to a 2-1 win. Richards Penalty and a Matt Taylor thunderbolt.

Expecting this to be tight. Note Swindon good on the road. If that is because they are good at sitting back and catching people on the break (Swindon fans is this correct ?) then it probably won't work as we will probably play defensively as well. Expecting 1-0 and plumping for us but will not fall off my chair in surprise if it goes the other way. Would definitely settle for a draw

Seriously wet from the sounds of it.

Likely to be a stodgy playing surface, probably won't help promote flowing football. Low scoring game in the offing I suspect.

We won’t sit back. It’s wins or nothing for us. We are the ultimate shit or bust club results wise this season - note the very few draws.

I was sure we’d get beat last week, so delighted to be proved wrong. Exeter have a similar home record to Cambridge, so I see no reason why we shouldn’t repeat.

Well for all your moaning about referees you won the game. One step forward and 2 steps back for us. Our defence is proving to be our Achilles heel at the moment.

I read (and happy to be corrected) that all of the goals were caused by our inability to deal with crosses.

After a positive start we were well beaten. Could meet again in the play-offs. Yay!

Yep, they weren't biased, just incompetent. Thought we had a superb 20 minutes where we deserved the win. Second half nothing much happened except Stockley getting hammered and then scoring.
Best we have played for a while, gives us still half a chance for the autos which is incredible considering the last few months.

We were very good today. To a man we worked extremely hard and had that little bit of cutting edge that we lacked of late.

Swindon probably were the better team in the first quarter but as soon as they went ahead we woke up and we’re good value for the win. Stockley had a perfectly good goal disallowed but you could say the penalty was extremely soft too. In fact we had a much stronger shout for a penalty turned down earlier in the half. It was nice to get a third which Stockley took well after good work from Boateng.

As for Swindon they looked decent in patches but didn’t really force Pym into too many saves. I was impressed with James Dunne who played some nice passes into attacking areas - always liked him at City. We managed to keep Richards quiet plus Matt Taylor’s final ball was poor as the game went on. I just think we defended well and kept our shape which is pleasing.

Lincoln away next which is another massive game and one which I’d be more than happy with a point from.

Bad pitch where no football can be played? What bad pitch?
The football for that 3rd goal was simply sublime.

The referee was awful - not biased but for both teams. Goal shouldn't have been disallowed, thought the penalty was soft, but can see why he's given it. And when one of your boys have had a shot that's basically been whacked away by a defender and gives a goal kick. Brilliant.

Swindon as a side weren't bad, could see why they're up there. The big CB you had, Menayese, was awful.. How does he get into the team? Struggled to kick a ball, as did the keeper. Poor distribution, and being an Exeter fan, we're all to used to poor distribution.

Massive result for us though, makes the Lincoln game a must not lose, rather than a must win.

He gets in the team because our 3 CBs are all out for the season. Hence the dreadful defending.

Have you still got Charles Cooke in goal, as he's was dreadful for us especially his kicking, distribution and coming for crosses.
Shot stopping was his only positive

Strangely enough we have our 3 CBs out too. Sweeney is a right back and Storey is a kid who started the season at Dorchester. He looked fantastic today though. Another big tick for our youth policy.

Out with an injured wrist - allegedly. Another weak area for us. Best keeper in the division loaned out to Waterford cos Flitcroft fell out with him. He’s cost us 6 points with his fumbling antics, but it would be unfair to heap all the blame on him. With the defence in front of him loaned from The Cirque de Soleil it is to be expected.
